How has Segal looked? I know you are a Bollig fan, but Segal is a vet with size who might be able to offset the loss of Carcillo. He wears a letter too, doesn't he?
FWIW, in 90 games in the NHL, he has nearly 200 hits and he's 6'2 215.

Somebody else asked me the other day about him, and I never did reply. Segal looks like your typical NHL 4th line grinder who can hit. To answer your question, He's the captain in Rockford, so he does have some leadership qualities.

Segal will most certainly be a "black ace" for the playoffs. As to him coming up and playing in the regular season, I don't see it happening unless a rash of injuries were to happen in Chicago. The Hawks signed Segal to be a leader in Rockford and as depth for the big club should the need arise.

I know I mention Bollig too much. So much in fact that I'm starting to sound like a broken record, much like molly2522. I fear if I mention Bollig's name much more, I will draw the ire of TrueGrit and never hear the end of it.

You just gotta come up with a cool description of him like Koala Bear or something.

Didn't get to watch last night, they sounded good last night though. The radio guys were livid that icing was waived off just prior to the late Hjalmarsson penalty. Was it as bad as they made it sound? Did the TV guys have any thoughts on that call/non-call?

IIRC, Foley said something like, "Icing is waived off, don't know why".

But, of course, may have been a different icing waived off.

Not at all. Would not mind seeing him for a test drive either. Segal too nice insurance policy. We all say some crazy stuff, its the folks that go back to it everyday that is the problem. I have shown the ability to dish it out while at the same time taking a punch back. That is the grit all you fans want your players to have, so lead by example and don't cry when I finish my check!

Is Bollig a good enough skater to play in the NHL? Just curious. He's hard as phuck when it comes to the fisticuffs...i've been very impressed with his willingness to drop 'em, but CAN HE SKATE well enough to play with the big club ?

Over on the Ice Hogs website, I noticed that David Toews has played only 2 games. Did he just get there or was he there earlier and shipped elsewhere?

Think he was primarily with the ECHL team? Just came up with the promotion of Hayes, Shaw and Smith.
