Loving the top line tonight. Kane showing a pulse for a change. Toews makes a great play for a Stalberg goal and vice versa.

If Stalberg continues to play and upgrading his game like this we have our top line for the season.

That and I have one huge "I told you so" coming from SteveRain.

Very happy to be wrong about my early season assessments of him.

If he forgets, you get it from me.

Size and speed. Has really developed his game along the boards.

Amazing how fast 2 and 3 goal leads can appear and disappear in this league.

Sharks look really sluggish ready to get beat and get home. To bad about those quick goals in the second.

If Hawks can get that next goal....should be able to close it out.

Fair enough.

Honestly, I think the key for him has been to not always go full speed. Using his speed in bursts gets him space, but it seems his conversions all come when he's more under control.

Kane much more noticeable - couple of nice chances, good puck control. Need to get him and Hossa a goal or two.

Amazing that the Nick Leddy hate-fest has quieted for a bit with 2 pretty solid games in the past 2 (Detroit, +1, 1 assist; San Jose, +2, 1 assist). 20 assists on the year so far, 22 points. Pretty solid 1st NHL season for a very tough position.

Looks solid tonight, good decision making as opposed to our "top" pairing. Maybe Nick can give Keith some lessons on what to do with the puck at the point -- either that or get Keith some contacts.

I think even Philco might agree that Leddy hasn't been dozy in the past 2.

In addition to his speed, he's learned to use his size - won several board battles - and to finish.

Can he teach the first to Bickle and the second to Frolik?

Months ago I said Stalberg was like an apprentice - learning to play the NHL game. He's not there yet but it's coming. All for $850K this year and next.

With all due respect, Q and Bowman said that at his first camp.

Kudos to Stanbo and co. for taking a flyer and drafting Andrew Shaw in the 5th rd. last year...

AND

Kudos to Stanbo and co. for promoting the kid with perfect timing since he's been a big time phucking spark plug since being called up.

AND FINALLY

Kudos to The Kid himself, who right from his very first shift in Philly, has been a fantastic addition to the club. Very mature kid who gives 200 per cent every shift and a kid who will be around for a long, long time.

Every prospect in our organization should watch how Andrew Shaw plays and how he carries himself. OUTSTANDING LAD.

Another great job by our $2.75M free agent defenseman. Why is this clown Montador getting the minutes he is getting tonight?

Hawks have dominated this game: Crawford needs to be perfect the last three minutes.

Monty's been watching Leddy Savvy....5 way TOO LAZY there. And Crawford overplayed the angle again.

Love the W...but that is a terrible way to close out a win. We got lucky. Everyone TOO SOFT in the final minute....and it's RARE when anyone on this team ever slides to block a shot, sacrificing the body to do so. No one did in the final Sharks flurry either. But the 2 points are banked. Yes.

You asked why Hammer was on the ice....

Probably shouldn't slide to block shots in that situation and take yourself out of the play for several seconds.
