what i would ask for is myers, gausted & ryan miller for starters, probably someone else going the other way and then we will re visit the 70's& 80's and kick ourselves in the ass as kane goes on to get 40&90 every year, just like we did with the phil esposito trade !

23 years old, 4 1/2 years pro experience, I think - forget the salary and cap hit, forget the comparisons to Toews (who may have been born 28 years old) - cant give up on the talent and real possibilities.

Not looking only at potential - 4 years of 70+ points and 20+ goals.

Yes, also 4 years of no-D, and immaturity along with it.

But can't give up on the real possibility of a top-10 or better offensive talent.

If it's Kane, you don't have to give up as much IMO, because he's younger and still has upside. Sharp is what he is, never gonna be better, and he's about the same age as Getzlaf. If it's Kane, because you give up on his youth, it's more like him and Lalonde, we keep Bickell and the pick.

Sharp's a lot older than Getzlaf....

Throw in McNeil or Saad, and make it a first round pick then.

My guess in Bobby Murray doesn't have many mistakes left....He needs help for next season and 18-19 yr. olds aren't going to make enough difference.

More than I thought...about 4 years, i thought it was more like 2, still he's closer in age than Kane, which was my point. Plus Kane has a NTC, Sharp doesn't...yet. Doesn't matter, because it ain't gonna happen. Just halving fun with Names/cap numbers.

easy on kaner, i think the problem with both of the kids, more kane the toews is that stan has been pulling his chain when it comes to finding a true #1 leftwing like andrew ladd and a #2 center for hoss & sharpie!
the word on getzlaf, while very talented, takes some nights off, could be because the way the ducks season is going. go back 4 years ago when they traded pronger, big mistake right there & no depth behind the big 3, basically a 1 pony show in anahiem. teemu & koivu are alittle long in the tooth and like we do here ,fans are probably clamouring for the past of those 2!now if murray wants to talk about picks & prospects without 10 or 88 in the deal, i'm all ears!
hopefully stan bowman is going to make a couple of significant moves to upgrade.
as far as the 2 kids , very unfair to put huge expectations and forcasts into the future as far as projections and who we need to re sign and /or trade. the kids need atleast a couple of times around the league to get a feel of their worth.
if we're making a run at it this year , beauchamin or gleason would be a nice start on the back end. up front, your guess is as good as mine, but people are wishing in 1 hand and crapping in the other to see which one fills up first if they think stans trading 10 or 88!
now #4 could be another story if that with a package of picks or prospects could land you a top tier center but highly unlikely.
if you could do a multi player deal ,say with columbus , would you take either vermette or umberger plus derreck brassard or jarred boll?
probably brassard over boll ? and what would howsan want back?
just a thought boys!
how would we look with vermette /umberger & brassard & beauchamin going into april 15th?

Getzlaf was notorious for taking nights off as a junior as well. It didn't suddenly occur when Anaheim went down the tubes.

Not to quible its almost 5 yrs but the that is a big diffwewnce because Sharp is over 30.

Some say Sharp's NTC or NMC won't kick into nex yr...I don't know for sure.

The bigger ?? for now is what will it take to get Beauchemin...

For the record Sharp just turned 31, Getzlaf will be 27 in May, so split the difference, 4.5 years, and yes Sharp is on the wrong side of 30 with a big extension starting next year. As far as I can tell his NTC doesn't go into effect until then. All the more reason to trade him now if you can. That extension is a ridiculous overpayment.

The 4.5 yrs is like 15 yrs in our lives....Wrong side of 30 and it will take a lot more than Sharp to get Getzlaf or Ryan....

There will be no trades involoving Sharp this year....We have gone down this road before and he was more tradeable in the past.

True!!!!

Would Anaheim take:

Sharp, Montador, Lalonde, maybe a 2nd

For

Ryan (or Perry), Beauchemin, and maybe a 4th.

Have San Jose feed down in Florida today. Class acts...more enjoyable than Pat Harry Carry Foley and Duncan Keiths family....

They honored the anthem, gonna bring it live to their fans...with respect...good stuff.

Very good period.

Brunette has been a very good sign this year - old and slow, but he's contributed to some important scoring plays.

Two goals in the last two minutes of a period....

Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda are pretty good compared to many others if you ask me. Watch a lot of Shark games online, usually listen to them as opposed to the other feed.

Looks as though the 3rd period momentum from yesterday was brought here in the 1st tonight. Or they got their asses chewed out royally. Either way keep it up.

edit: nevermind, here we go again

2 goals 26 seconds for the Sharks...Tie.
Could it be that the hawks shot their wad in the first period?

Loving the top line tonight. Kane showing a pulse for a change. Toews makes a great play for a Stalberg goal and vice versa.
