You still look to make the playoffs, and anything can happen once you get there. But like BB said, it'll take a lot of luck.
- tangent_man

To win the Cup, of course. But you definitely need good goaltending to do so.

Yeah, I think he's going to be great. I was reffing to the fact that some are impatient with him/think he sucks.
- Hextall271

Yea I know rite he hasnt even played 15 games yet give him a chance

It's totally understandable not to feel confident in him at this point.
- MJL

I just don't feel good about him, again, it's not say I'm not a fan, (Fuc%, I watched the Flyers game on my honeymoon before DVR's were invented ).

But, me being a fan like I am doesn't mean I can't be critical of some of the moves they make, and I think we will all agree on the fact that they have made certain moves that we all questioned over the years, and id does not make me any less of a fan, or want to win any less than the next fan.

I just hated his contract from day 1 & thought that they totally overreacted in this signing, and now the conundrum continues to grow

I was also for letting Bryz play himself out of his funk however, if he just continues to put together bad games what is the point. At the end of the day the Flyers goal should be to win. Winning has been happening a lot more when Bobrovsky has been in net so play him.
- FreshFlyer

I'm starting to come around to this line of thinking as well. At a certain point, we can't just throw points away. I expected Bryz to start playing better by now, but he seems lost.

Fair enough.. i didn't say he was a bust.. just overhyped. I'm not saying send him to the AHL. I'm saying use him as trade bait to land us a solid D prospect.

I like his contract personally.. cap hit under 6 is nice for a goalie of his talent. Would be nice if he showed that talent... but to be fair... our defense is terrible this year. Way to many times they have 1-2 guys BEHIND our D. Bryz also lets in a Biron goal a game.

Suter i doubt will be signed in the offseason. Will be a trade and sign with someone.

Nash won't let someone like him go for nothing.

Brett Clark but not be a bad 3rd pairing pick up.

Low salary and not a bad player.

you really think they might not make the playoffs??
- Don'tForgetTocchet

No, not really. Which is why I think we should play Bryz until he finds his A-game. I think we can do that and still make the playoffs.

I don't think it really matters what seed we get, because this team, without Pronger, isn't winning the cup unless they get a one-in-a-million series of breaks, lucky bounces, and favorable matchups. Could it happen? Sure. But it's highly unlikely this year.

OK now I really have to go. Later folks...

After watching last night I can say, that without a doubt, if I was a Pred's season ticket holder, that I'm holding that check depending on what happens to Weber, anytime we had a beat on the puck, when he was out there, he just erased everyone in his path.
I think Suter can be replaced, (he's very good), but Weber is unbelievable.

Can't blame anyone for feeling that way about Bryz. I'm just not sure he's ever going to get where we need him to be if he feels like he has to be perfect every game or lose his spot to Bob. I hope I'm wrong, but I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think I am.
- BringBack25

Well, we've already seen that in an important game like the WC, Lavy went with the tender he trusts the most. Bob. I'm not sure we can afford now to let Bryz play this out and throw away pts. If bob performs well vs some of the better teams and we get wins, this may turn into a Ward/Gerber situation like Lavy had in Carolina.

They should also be looking at how this Flyers team restructured their team last year by letting go of their two best players as well.

Weber's fantastic. Only way he leaves is if he absolutley asks for too much money or says he doesn't want to stay. If that happens, it'd take us gutting our youth forward corps and picks to do it. They would prob want a young dman a young forward like cooter and a 1st. Some teams would give it to them. I still say Suter walks and Weber stays. He's the captain, and this is his team.

I don't see confidence as an issue in Schenn's play.

I don't think the Flyers have the defenseman to offer to get Weber
