In addition to not playing well, Bryzgalov has got to be the unluckiest Goalie I have ever seen play this Season.
- MJL

Im starting to think this just might not be his year. It wouldn't be the first time its happened in proffessional sports let alone to a goalie and then they bounce back.

That's a real big stretch. The Flyers aren't close to being good enough defensively to have a Goalie with a GAA below 2.

perhaps, but he's been very unlucky IMO

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bob has had a lot of deflections as well, foot speed can sometimes erase that shi& & it's not as much an issue, I don't think they were all his fault, but when the season wraps up, he will be judged on his save %, I really believe that stat does not lie & all shots have a way of somewhat evening out
- puckhead17

Bob hasn't had nearly the same amount of deflections and unlucky goals that Bryz has faced. Not even close.

I agree but he may get into a grove before everything is said and done

not only has he gotten bad bounces, his team has deflected a ton of shots past him. if not for those factors his gaa could seriously be under 2
- flyerscup2011

He's been the victim of many a bad bounce, for sure, but even without the deflections his numbers would be pedestrian. There are four wheels to a vehicle, and each facet of the Flyers game needs to improve.

As the Giants are proving right now, it's about getting hot at the right time. I've seen lots of comments about the Flyers having no shot at winning the Cup this year, but once the dance starts, anything can happen.

Here's an example. Even though it's only 11 starts, Martin Biron has a 1.88 GAA and a .927 Sv%. Is that due to how good of a Goalie Biron is? Or is it because of how good the Rangers are defensively?

d needs to tighten up for sure. i think when the team gets a lead they play not to lose and that's what causes the flukey bounces

I wanna see friggin Coburn clear out the front of the net and play a meaner game. He is not a physical or angry as he can be

not that i've seen more than 3 rangers games, but i'd go out on a limb and say it's more likely due to the defense the rangers play than the (average at best) skills biron has

No doubt. More time spent in their D zone means more chances for bad bounces, and more chances to have teams crash our net. I made a fairly lengthy post on the entire subject earlier today and what I think the issues are.

Another team in another sport also proved that this year. The St. Louis Cardinals

exactly. it's why i laugh at those saying boston/rangers are the teams to beat/shoe-ins etc. it's bullpoop. there's a half season to go, not to mention the playoffs themselves. long way to go. look at what happened to the flyers last year after the ASG.

Exactly right. In fact, the Flyers themselves proved that in 2010.
