Well New Orleans finished with 32 points and 500 yards, so SF didn't really stop them. The key for the Giants will be getting a pass rush on Rodgers without blitzing. Need a conventional 4 man rush. Giants have the personnel to do it. When teams sell out and blitz Rodgers is when he makes huge plays.

Yeah, 32 is considered somewhat stopping Brees.

Giants need to bump GB WR on the line too. At least I think that will disrupt the timing which is one thing that may cause Rodgers to check down and giants then can get pressure.

Good point. I really feel if the Giants can win tomorrow they have a heck of a chance at winning it all, but that's getting ahead of myself. Tomorrow will be a hurculean task.

So whats the topic tonight? Making excuses for Bryz or shouting crucify him?

My thoughts about the game.

1st Goal could have been easily stopped by Bob or any goalie that doesn't have their mind thinking about the universe.

2nd Goal Schenn was horrible and Bryzgalov should have saved that.

3rd Goal Brzygalov was day dreaming again.

Couturier is amazing kid will only get better
How the hell did we find Read?
How did Talbot not score on his breakaway.
We need more Simmonds like goals.

We have to be one of the worst teams when pulling the goalie.
We win this game if Bob plays.

I agree that the team is playing poorly defensively. But Bobrovsky is playing behind the same team. I'm at the point where the grace period is over, and it's time for him to play. And If I'm Laviolette, I'm strongly considering giving the reins to Bobrovsky. I don't think Bryzgalov was that bad tonight, in fact I think he played well. But not well enough.

I have been one of the biggest supporters, or at least defenders of Bryzgalov on here. I have faith he will turn things around, but at the same time, it's hard to not want to let Bob loose and see what he can do when he's playing the good teams, and not the Isles and Hurricanes.

I think Joe has a valid point-Bob has played mostly poor teams, or at least mostly offensively inept teams. He has been better than Bryzgalov, but he's also faced lesser competition.

Looking at his game log, he's gotten the start against one real contender(Rangers twice) and two teams with good firepower(Toronto & Pittsburgh). So far he's started against Ottawa(before they turned things around), Toronto, Winnipeg, Devils, Carolina, Winnipeg, Isles, Montreal, Rangers, Montreal, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Rangers, Carolina, Isles.

That's 2 starts each against Montreal, Carolina, Winnipeg and the Isles. I think it's time to start playing the kid against the better teams. Over the next 4 games, I'd give Bryz the Wild and Devils and Bob the Isles and Bruins. Alternate them in each game.
