I like Bryz but here's my criticism.... if you see the shot and it's deflecting all over the place.. go down in a strong butterfly as your first reaction. Wide stance and stick strong covering the five hole. Too many pucks go straight through him. It's an issue.
- Hextall271

It was clear to me on the replay, that he didn't see the puck until it was past him. Which in turn makes the issue that he didn't track the puck well.

What else can you do? Nashville's a good team, and the Flyers played some poor defense and needed one more big stop.

They need the Giroux and Briere lines to start doing anything, or the defense and goaltending issues will only be one of the problems

This seems to be a continuing theme, no?

If a Bob shutout is 2goals against, is a Bryz shutout 3 goals against?

should of taken a page from hartnells book and thrown his glove
- bigmookalookie

I just mentioned that on one of Tim's blogs...something like a guy whose highlight reel is him falling on his ass or throwing gloves at guys on breakaways needs an all star game.

hopefully weber is on our bus for the ride home, very unimpressed with our d

The D didn't lose the game. Giroux needs to play more loose. Did Briere's line play? Jagr cant shoot.

They get to running around, and then turn it over and they are chasing again.

It's the same thing with Bryzgalov, IMO. The first mistake leads to another, and then another and it snowballs. It's not just the defensemen, either. it's team defensive breakdowns.

WHy does the soft one he let in have to be the difference? Why not the failure to clear the porch and the brain fart which led to a blindfoldesque screen which led to a goal? Stupid poop like that is what loses games.
- JoeRussomanno

Why does it seem like he lets in a softee a game? Breakdowns happen during a game but dribbling pucks should be stopped by your goalie. I am not a Bryz hater, but it is getting old.

The Giruoux line needs to wake up moving forward, and this defense has to improve dramatically.

That said, the Flyers still had the opportunities to win this one.

Rinne was better but to say he was the sole difference is giving the rest of the team which put in a half a$$ effort for like the 4thgame in a row, a big pass. Sorry but the goalie may be expected to win a game once in a while but the friggin team can't look like they all have the flu for a half a dozen games.

Jagr has looked like complete poop since the Pittsburgh game. Very uninspired by his performances.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't notice Briere out there at all. Jakub was a -3 tonight too.

I think they had some continued breakdowns and made some mistakes. But a half ass effort? No way. They played hard tonight.

Definitely played hard tonight. Just made too many mistakes, and couldn't capitalize on their opportunities.
