My concern is that they both seem to let in soft goals at really bad times.
- LJF

that they do. I think Bryz will eventually get back to playing solid. A lot of the "soft" goals this year were from just really crazy deflections. Hopefully that stuff evens out.

Bob just seems to have a fatal flaw, in my opinion. Shots up around the shoulders/arms area seem to find a way to leak through.

Are these players skulls made out of (frank)ing eggshells? This is now the fifth guy on the Flyers in half a season to miss games due to a concussion. Absolutely ridiculous.
- PLindbergh31

maybe thye need to look into what makes Talbots head so sturdy. Guy gets checked and ran into like a champ and nothing. Talbot head is reienforced like a champ

And a guy who assaulted a 12 year old in the studio.

Yes he does seem to have a lot of trouble with these type of goals. Rupp's second goal was a classic example.

I agree that is a weakness in Bobrovsky right now. But Bobrovsky is a developing player who is in his 2nd year in the League. It's not a fatal flaw, it's something that over time can be corrected.

No worries Mookster. I just scoured all 30 NHL rosters, and every team has had at least 5 guys go down this year due to concussion, so it's a League wide issue.

I have sympathy for the nfl guys ... a brutal sport with tons of injuries, and yet any contract they sign is null and void as soon as they're cut.

Concussions are a League wide issue. It's a simple concept. More players are out with concussions for a number of reasons. One of them being that concussions are being diagnosed better, and players aren't playing with concussions as they have in the past. Do you want JVR playing with a concussion

You would give JVR plus for Schenn?

I would give JVR plus for a Shea Weber or a Ryan Suter. Not Luke Schenn.

hopefully it can be corrected ... but if all flaws could be corrected we'd have a few hundred great goalies in the league. Some guys just can't change, for whatever reason.

Not true, you still have to have the raw talent and natural ability. That can't be corrected over time. Some guys never develop, and some do. No reason why Bobrovsky can't improve his weaknesses like any other player.
