I'm pretty sure his value wasn't that high... he was playing like total crap this year, and wasn't much better last year. His 1st season in MTL was fine, but he had to go, Cammy is lazy, he's just waiting for the perfect pass

I don't know, but sounds like according to Ek's rumors that MTL probably could have gotten Evander Kane for Camalleri.

The money doesn't work, Ek! $4 million needs to come back to Anaheim to even think about this happening. So that's possibly Roy and Myers for Getzlaf. Or Regehr, or Ehrhoff. Can't see Anaheim wanting Stafford or Boyes. Plus Buffalo will have to trade a prospect (McNabb?) according to what Murray is asking for.
So, this should be the starting point assuming it's Roy, Getzlaf for Myers, Roy, and McNabb.

Actually in all seriousness, suspending Camalleri would have told ALL the other teams in the league that he was likely available.

Sure initially the fact he was suspended would decrease his value slightly but a bidding war would have likely ensued. A good GM could create that bidding war and maximize his return. Key words being a GOOD GM.
