I think Gomez has moved down the C depth and what may have seemed unthinkable is a likely course. If he gets claimed off of waivers great if not I think he will be a 'Dog next year.

After everything the Habs did this year, (firing Pearn at morning skate, firing JM hours before a game, hiring an anglo coach and then throwing him under the bus, trading a player DURING a game) will demoting a vet be any worse for the Habs rep?

Would be nice, as a going away present, if PG sent him to the 'Dogs rather than the new GM.

Let the new GM start with a clean slate and as little issues as possible, other than the basics of defining a clear direction and starting to work at putting this team together.
