Trading for Kabby is a handcuffing move that shot the habs in the foot. And unless Gaut can move him at the deadline or before next season....this was a Top 3 of his dumbest trades for the habs.

Watching l'antichambre last night they were talking about how they probably could have gotten more from a team like Nashville (which makes no sense). I think the only reason people hate this trade is because they overvalue Cammy's value, but getting a cheaper player who produces as much as Cammy, a decent 3rd line potenial prospect and a 2nd round pick from a team that doesn't have a bright future is a pretty good deal.

Flames get a 6million dollar 30 goal scorer, a KHL goalie (they already have 2 young goalies in Irving and Karlson) and a 5th.
Habs get a 3million dollar 25 goal scorer, a decent depth prospect, and a 2nd rd pick from a bad team.
