I would not trade Schenn for JVR straight up.

Schenn is a top shut down Dman and JVR is a bust.

I heard Gauthier got an offer for Gomez a few weeks back but now he has to shop it around the NHL, the KHL, the SEL, the ECHL and now he's doing the rounds in the NAHL.

more to come.

It's not like Gauthier doesn't deserve criticism, but what's been going on the last few days is ridiculous.
It's like suddenly Cammi isn't overpaid and is a top end sniper.

He got more than I thought. I was sure he'd have to take Hagman with Bourque. The 2nd is an extra I didn't foresee.

And I don't know who said that yesterday, but after what Cammalleri said Wednesday, if a GM was interested, he's dumb if he didn't call.

Gauthier seems to be really disliked, heck I can't stand him, but the commentary seems to be more about going after him than a rational look at the move.

It's "in" to dislike Gauthier. This leads to blind and systematic whining.

Easy to kick someone when he is down....

I am not a fan of Mr. PG but the Cammi trade shouldn't be a reason to kick him again.

Mr. Gauthier is already curled up on the ground crying.

Oh don't fool yourself, he gives people plenty of reason to dislike him, and a lot of it is deserved. He's living up to what his reputation was in Ottawa and Anaheim and I'm pretty sure he'll do something shortly that he deserves to be ripped for. If people were only focusing on the in game trade part I'd be fine with it, but the idea that CGY ripped Mtl off is ridiculous. Standings aside, there's not a huge difference between the two teams, both suck. If Mtl trade cap space and a 2nd for a guy like Cammi I'm gonna be really pissed.

Agreed. Heck Cammi was my favourite player over the last number of years and I'm fine with the trade.

I can't believe the heat he has taken for this trade, the Kaberle deal was much worse, but kind of flew under the radar.

ppl female doged at him for trading Halak and not getting enough.... " dumbest trade ever!!" some said.
So thursday, he clears 3mil off our Cap for the next 2 years, got rid of an overpaid whiny selfish player who wasn't producing....AND gets a 2nd round pick and a prospect.....
and STILL, Hab fans gotta keep kicking him while he is already lying down in a fetal position sucking his thumb waiting for the AXE to fall on his head?????

I don;t (frank)ing understand it.

Oh, he was ripped for it and it's much worse...unless Markov retires, then it palatable.

How???
How can you believe this???

Kabby isn't no where near the calibur of player that Markov was!
it isn't even close!!

Trading for Kabby is a handcuffing move that shot the habs in the foot. And unless Gaut can move him at the deadline or before next season....this was a Top 3 of his dumbest trades for the habs.
