I understand, but Habs have no true #1 dman. Subban may become one someday, but probably not short term. They should just draft the best player available. If they have too many at one position, trade them. A better player will fetch a better return.
Drafting for current needs got them to draft David (frank)ing Fischer. |

Keep doing it till you get it right. They can always trade D prospects for forwards. Nver could have gotten Gomez if you didn't have a D prospect to trade. |
