All talking about trades that that Ek didn't break.
- mr.peanut

When was the last time he was even in the ballpark?

Hell, when was the last time he could even be bothered to follow-up on something he said when he would?

It was funny before... now he isn't even trying. It isn't even entertaining.

Don't be surprised if Burke meets with Schenn today. If deal doesn't go down soon, I expect Burke will tell Luke its not happening.

this whole "he should have shopped him around" debate is ridiculous. After what happened this week, if you are a GM of an NHL team and you are interested in Cammalleri, you call Pierre Gauthier. It's called "doing your job".

Burke is going to rush onto the ice in the middle of tomorrow night's Sens/Habs game to announce the trade.

That's why I didn't like the trade...

I think at the deadline the Habs could have gotten a better, younger return. Cammalleri would have been one of the really good, available pieces this deadline.

If you are going to liquidate the vertan core, which obviously needs to happen, for the most part at least, then you do so at the most opportune time.

Unfortunately they decided he was too much of a d!ck to wait to trade him.

Burke is gonna pull a Buffalo player off the ice and announce that he has traded that player to another team, for the Sabers.

I remember Bobby Heenan on OTR and he was saying how stupid being from parts unknown is. He said you never see a pitcher come out of a bullpen and the PA guy saying from parts unknown

this is true. but it's not the way the Canadiens operate. if you are perceived to be embarrassing the organization, you are shipped out of town yesterday. happened with Roy, happened with Carbonneau, happened with Ribeiro, can happen with anyone. this organization has been consistent with one thing over the years, and that is, it does not tolerate players speaking out against it or making it look bad. if the Montreal Canadiens could put togehter some kind of gulag, that's where these players would go. this organization thinks it's the Kremlin circa 1973. but even they managed to ice a decent hockey team...
