Don't buy it for a second. This isn't during the first period of a game, so Gauthier clearly won't make a deal now. - Urethra Franklin
Just wait, next he's going to trade Price and pull him from the ice during a shootout attempt. |

You can call me an idiot all day long. I couldn't care less.
That's what I read... that's what you wrote.
Let me ask you this.. why is cap suddenly not important? I mean.. I'm an idiot here.. so explain to me how it isnt important.
In details. A long long post would be much appreciated. And also, please use words that I understand. - WaterBoy
Cap is not important right now because the Habs will not attract any prime UFAs to spend it on. And if they do spend it, they will overpay for second line players on a really long term and be in the same boat.
There is not 1 FA the Habs can sign that will make this team dramatically better. Or even 2... heck, perhaps even 3. So cap space really becomes pointless unless you are determined to fill it with overpriced contracts on 2nd / 3rd line players.
Rebuild the team the proper way, don't worry about spending to cap if all you are gonna do is repeat the same mistakes. |

The worst part is Price's shoot-out sv% will get better.

Perry Pearn fired an hour before game time.
Jacques Martin fired day of game.
Mike Cammalleri traded DURING a game.
Pierre Gauthier is out of his mind and the Molsons need to do something fast. How this man is allowed to be in charge of the most storied franchise in the sport is beyond me and, unless something is done soon, it can still get worse. - Urethra Franklin
Well, it is easier to tell guys they have been fired / traded if they are at their place of work, rather than have to go out and look for them.

Especially considering the fact that Gomez won't be here anymore. It will be hard for PG to attract UFA's now... |
