If that were the case, you'd see less of the league's best signing in butt (frank) nowhere to play hockey and more would sign in Toronto/Montreal.

criticism from other players and from the media are 2 different things. MTL and TO have media looking for controversies, they create their own poop to talk about around the team, they are very news hungry because of the size of the fanbase.

I think the Leafs should trade Schenn, McCarthur and a 2nd for Getzlaf and a 5th.

I don't want to give up on Schenn because blue-chip, top-2 shutdown D with lots of room for offensive upside are invaluable. The fact is, you just have to give up value to get value.
