Who is that?
Campoli? - jmo16
Martin Gramatica, he's on that commercial where the douche Tampa Bay fan kicks the ball into a beer & a pot of chili & Gramatica shows up at the end. Little runt. |

Good line, I like it!
I don't mean to troll or be offensive, but what's the realistic outlook that DiPetro will finally retire? |

that solves one problem. Plenty more to go though.
Next year's cba will hopefully include a penalty free buyout and if so, RDP would be the poster child for it. Would be tremendous if they could shed the terrible contract and not have to deal with 2-3 attempted comebacks per season that cost the team points.
Now move nabby, give montoya and poulin the keys and see if they can finish somewhere around .500 - Isles_since_6
They will have the Pen-Free buyout... but just like how we passed on buying out Yashin during that period they will buy out DP the season after & be on the hook for his contract for the next 2 decades.

No plans to retire: "Nothing like that has crossed my mind...I know I can play." Rick DiPietro
poop.. - Isles316
Why would he even consider retirement? He's not fragile at all. He doesn't get hurt ever.
Seriously, when does someone who cares about this guy just put their arm around him, and tell him, "you know what Ricky? It's time to call it a day. You made a lot of money playing the sport you love, and sometimes things don't work out, but you're killing yourself and it's time to relax."
Why all the Flatley hate? A former captain, a good grinder type who could score 20 plus goals. He was a guy I always liked. |

How does a professional hockey player know its time to hit the ole dusty trail?
When he has been shut down so many times, that the HB trolls don't even bother to appear on the Isles blog to crack jokes about it anymore.

Thats funny and true. It's just stale at this point. But on a positive note Charles Wang believes in Ricky

Nabokov makes 11th straight start, same lineup for #Isles tonight. Pat Flatley to be inducted into HOF pregame.

Right where is his family to tell him enough? It not just all the knee and hip injuries the guy had about 4 concussions. Someone really needs to step in because DP is going to have to be dragged off the ice. |

11 straight start really? I did not know we had Patrick Roy in his prime? Isles will be lucky to get a 4th round pick for this guy no matter how many games he plays in a row. |

I can understand an owner loving great players and guys who have won Cups but Wang seems to love the guys who let him down the most. |

Not stuck if there is a buyout next year. Wang chooses to be stuck. He can stick DP in the minors and bring in a real player to meet the cap. Wang puts DP before the team. |

I seriously think they want him to get to win #300 as an Islander before he's shipped out. |

Honestly, I think they just want to win some games. Nabby's played well. Gave up a bad goal last game, but made a few improbable saves that game too. |

Have to love the priorities of this team if true. Winning 300 in an Isles uniform will not mean getting anything more back in a trade. |

I'll take my chances with Poulin at this stage to win games. If the Isles want to win more games maybe some trades can help. |

I don't think Nabby has played bad to not play him but it is weird that they called Poulin up after 3 straight shutouts and he hasn't sniffed the ice. |

With this team it's not weird at all. This team still has Rolston playing when he could be in the minors and still count against the cap. Wang and Snow probably do not want Poulin playing well making DP upset. |

GET RID OF NABBY! Why do people overrate this guy? Hes awful. He gives up soft goals and does not even care when hes on the ice. Watch him play today he shows no emoton at all. Let Poulin play. |

Exactly. Poulin should be the guy. Let him play now so he gets even more comfortable for next year. The Isles are fooling no one with this pretend playoff hope. There really needs to be an intelligence test before you can be an owner. Why do the Isles keep getting stuck with these clowns? |
