@ 48 seconds, it appears to be more of a forearm to the chest with perhaps the elbow catching the chin on the follow through. It's very close, but this check appears to me to be pretty good and the refs may have gotten it right when they told Lavi it was 'full on body'.

Wow I can see them being in a hall of fame game if the Islanders ever had one. Yan Kaminsky LOL wow.
Fichaud yeah but Tommi Salo cant be far behind him. - kasperrko
I originally had Salo as my backup, but after giving it some thought, i realized that based on his play in the Olympics for sweden......i opted for Wade Flahretty

Hextall. I know he was good on the Flyers, but he was a disaster here, especially in the playoffs. I think in game three or four that year he gave up like 6 goals on 15 shots total.
I know we will probably disagree on this one, but to me honoring Kenny Johnson is an absolute joke. Was he a good defensemen, yes..........(minus getting embaressed by St Louis in the playoffs) But, how do you honor a player who walks out of his contract with a year remaining?? I dont care what the reason is.........the key word here being HONOR. How is that honorable? - kindlyrick
I don't disagree. I just don't think he was a player worthy of a hall of fame induction, although if Bourne was inducted, I guess i can see Jonsson being inducted. My problem with Jonsson was his giving up of the captaincy and how bad the teams he played on were. He looked better than he was because he was surrounded by garbage.
worst character? Evgeni Nabokov! I still do not like that guy. - mighty13duck
Kirk Muller had him beat by a long shot. At least Nabokov showed up and has played hard. Muller showed up, pouted and then cried until he was traded away.
you guys realize that they are basically just trying to tribute one player for each decade the Isles have been in existance right? Westfall was for first decade, Kenny Morrow was for second, Flatley for 3rd and Kenny johnsson will be for 4th. do you have a better candidate for the 90's then Flatley?
Flatley is 11th all time on Islander points list. The only other guy I can even think about for that time period is maybe Derek king. seriously.. who esle would u guys pick?
I think Kirk Muller and Oleg Kvasha were just as bad..... - kindlyrick
Kvasha never quit on his team or the organization. He never cried until he was traded. He was lazy and uninspired, but at least he didn't pout and quit like Muller did.

True but since I was born in 91 I cant say I remember that happening too much Nabokov is the most recent to me.
Butenschon was one of the d-men I picked before I gave up and just stopped trying to remember horrible Islanders. - UIF
Oh there is a whole list of bad Islanders. some of the guys we have had makes you scratch your head, but it is good to know the Islanders have been getting horrible players for years

Hextall actually had a winning record (by 1 game) so he wasn't terrible per say. How about Jeff Hackett and Tommy Sodestrom. Ugh!
