Rundblad was a monster in the SEL. He could be a good player in time. IDK, I just see him getting moved so much and I worry that the talent won't translate to the smaller ice. - Jsaquella
speaking of PHO, OEL is the kind of guy I'd be trying for. |

Is Schenn the new Stamkos or are there real legs to this deal?
My buddy just served Sniders lawyer at Cheesecake Factory and he mentioned this trade. Then I come on here and it's all over. He mentioned JVR and a 1 for Schenn. Is Luke that good?
Id do JVR straight up I think
- aosplayo

Karlsson, also came to North America sooner and got some AHL (although just 12 games before jumping to the NHL) not sure the type of impact that could've had.

Pay attention to the game tommorow night when #6 and #20 are on the ice in blue, especially when their busy wiping the boards with Schenn's face. These are the guys the flyers should be looking at to rebuild their blue line. One of these guys prob knows they will be in orange and black next year, and they're going to have a great game. |

Stamkos rumors were more fan related, and with the knucklehead Philly writers. There is a lot of noise from a lot of places on Schenn coming to the Flyers. I don't know if it's going to happen. But I have to believe discussions are taking place between the two teams. Don't believe the Flyers were ever discussing Stamkos with TB.

Hockeys a funny sport, Rundblad's stats in the SEL destroy that of Karlsson's.
In his last season, Rundblad scored 50 points in 55 games, almost as many points as karlsson had games in the SEL as it took Karlsson longer to get a first team shot with his team in sweden, so David was actually ahead of the curve.
Some players mature differently, i still think Rundblad will come around. - Yosimar89
As a newly traded player, it's usually not enough to be an NHL-caliber player, but the guy (Rundblad in this case) have to be a lot better than the guy he is competing with for the roster-spot. And the guy he's competing with is already in the group and most likely well liked by his teammates and coach (never underestimate group psychology and behaviour). Therefore the easy way is to just send the guy down to AHL, make him work for the spot and give him chances if injuries occurs. |

In our dreams maybe, no shot in hell they'd trade that guy.
He was a teammate of Sunshine in leksands so i got to see him play a couple of times. Kid is going to be a stud. |

Not a knock, we'll find out for ourselves tommorow. And it won't be long before B Schenn will be a pred himself |

Personally, I can't see Homer pulling the trigger on a deal until he knows for sure that Suter and Weber won't be available this season. |

I think Karlsson has a more rounded game. Rundblad was, IIRC a Mike Green type. |

Always smart to move a guy on a EL deal for a guy you can get as a UFA in the summertime. |

Which is precisely why I'd prefer to hold onto JVR. Why trade one of our core young forwards right now when we can get Suter as a UFA? |

Weber isn't a UFA....But I agree, When a UFA like Suter is available this summer, no reason to trade a JVR for someone who certainly is not Suter |

Not saying you're wrong, but there's no guarantee the Flyers won't be outbid by other teams. |

Correct, but generally when the Flyers make a UFA their number one priority, they get him. Obviously it's not a guarantee though. |
