Its funny bc people thought the Flyers shouldnt of traded Richards and Carter either. JvR has potential but so does Schenn. JvR has to prove himself more before I start labeling him "untouchable". He had a nice playoff series last year against Boston but that dont define a player in my opinion. Just my thoughts, nothing against your post.

Also, a two-for-one isn't likely. Draft picks most likely involved that Flyers involved in Kings and Panthers trade last offseason.

If burke knows he can nab JVR with Schenn plus I think Homer will pull the trigger. It wouldnt suprise me in the least that Homer would make a trade but Burke knows he would overpay to get JVR. I really think that Burke has a JVR stiffy and would overpay to attain him, esp after he missed out on Carter and Richards over the summer

If he is willing to overpay I see no reason this deal will be held up. I still believe as good as JvR may be, Toronto is not willing to give up much more than Schenn.

You need a legit prospect. I know they love Kadri but it would have to be somebody like that or a decent forward with size. Obviously if a guy like Kadri were involved the Flyers would have to add more as well.

It really depends on a few factors. How intrusive the bone growth is, it's location, has it done significant or minor labral damage, etc. Honestly I have seen a ton of them. They can be fixed arthroscopically or open... Arthroscopically is a much faster recovery, but doesn't fix the main problem (the growth). Open you have to dislocate the hip shave off that bone repair the labrum reduce the hip and requires typically 5-7 weeks of crutches and non weightbearing. The final recovery is typically like 3 months but the bonus is that it's generally one and done.

I think Burke can get another shot @ Carter this year. Sounds like he's not happy in CBUS.

schenn is not such a prodigious talent that there needs to be any rush...hold out for Kadri as part of the pckg, otherwise the flyers still have loads of time/options.
