The Sabres are also playing dreadful this year and of course the goalie gets blamed as usual.

$65M for that team this season. How unBuffalolike.

Owner jumped the gun, wanted to prove he was the man.

Overpaid by a mile for Ehrhoff and Leino, two players they didn't need at all.

Now the owner is blaming injuries on the decline this season, I guess the Sabres are the only team with injuries.

You can blame them for making bad decisions and spending money foolishly though.

Which they started with the Brad Boyes trades last season.

As am I. I personally think Gleason would be a perfect fit.. and I would look to resign him as well (hopefully at around the same price).

If they dont resign any UFA's and bury Shelley in the minors next season, they would have $9,074,167 + cap increase to work with..

Resign Voracek 4 year 3 mill cap hit.. takes away about 500,000.

So with 8.5mil plus the new cap (for arguments sake say it goes up 1.5), oh, and assuming Pronger is done and LTIR'ed add another $4.9 to that.. you would have roughly 14.9 mil to play with..

Figure they re-sign Jagr, at 3 mil. you have 11.9 mill to sign d-men and add some depth.

Youth is the primary reason. Low cap hits.

I think you need to review your Cap math there. Signing a RFA to a 3 year cap hit doesn't take away 500K, it takes away 3M.

It depends on the link. Anything that is linked to a bulk photo site (like picasa or its ilk) or a sketchy site is blocked. And pretty much any video.

I'm suprised we dont have another trade yet. Usually when a trade like the Bork one happens, a bunch of trades come soaring in. I hope we dont have to wait to long? What number is LSchenn going to wear?

That you can. But Buffalo was notorious for letting people walk to UFA, and not doing anything about it. Now over-paying for UFA's that arent the top notch is the next step in the mistake wheel to becoming an acutal revelant team... lol

BTW dont listen to me today I am sooo sick, so many meds right now...

GMs are probably now waiting until the 3rd period of games to trade their players.

Its a Friday, before a long holiday weekend. Today after 5 would be the best time for a bunch of teams to make major moves... that way by tuesday all the fall-out is over.

That was my point, the GM wanted to make a splash and say we aren't the old Sabres anymore, watch us go.

The Sabres were on the right track, there was no need to mess with what they were doing. I loved the Rehger trade for them and they are a very deep team at forward and Defense with some great prospects who are close to NHL ready.

Regardless I'm glad they messed up, I hope the egomaniac owner keeps messing things up.

meetings in Vegas starting next Wednesday, that's when I look for some action.

I trade between 2 non playoff teams IMO doesn't really get the juices flowing that much.

Feel better, getting sick sucks.

Trade a second rounder for Gleason. If Schenn is still around in the off season and JvR has had a bad year, then consider trading the 2 young players. Gleason and Schenn on this team next season would be interesting (Assuming you can re-sign Gleason).

Even he has his stretches during the season. But yeah, he's easily the most consistent goalie year-to-year.

He's an RFA. There is no money accounted for Voracek in available Cap space for the Flyers for the 12/13 Season. Resigning Voracek to a deal with a 3M cap hit takes 3M away from the available Cap space for 12/13, not 500K.

I'm sorry I do JVR for Schenn straight up if need be, But I'm not certain that is the deal going down. I think it might be a part of a bigger deal.
