Ha. I have no issue with the picks. I hate the popularity contest the All-Star has become. Parise and Kovy started way to slow to be All-Stars. The two kids deserve it. MAYBE Elias should be there, his first half was solid.

I'lll never understand why people get so defensive about things around here, or why everyone needs to articulate every sentence perfectly, so that it doesn't get misunderstood. Someone jumped on me the other day bc/ I referred to a goalie's 'angles' in an all encompassing manner, rather than distinguishing the difference between 'depth' and 'angles'.

Just saying, maybe everyone needs to relax a little bit.

Anyway, back to hockey,


The problem with Tedenby this year, and Arnott last year, is that it's hard to find ice time on the 3rd line. Period. Arnott, despite being very effective, was only playing 12 minutes a night at times. In comparison, Tedenby is somewhat less effective and his minutes are almost half of that. It sort of happens when the top 6 are set.

I would not be surprised to see Tedenby traded next month. I saw on the highlights Tedenby got hit on the rush at the blueline and failed to get the puck in deep on the play. I wodner if DeBoer is the kind of guy that would bench him for something like that.

Hedberg was strong in net. Nice job bouncing back.
Hard to say Kovalchuk is overpaid when he's setting up Henrique off the rush, and giving goalies no chance at all on semi-breakaways.

Taylor Hall is pretty fast, and some lucky team is going to rob them of Ales Hemsky.
