I sit in Section 404 and Dubi passed by there last night on his way to the tower. He stopped and posed with some people for a few pix while chants of Dubi rose from the Garden faithful.
Wolski was awful......make that A-W-F-U-L. To sit and watch his teammates for months throw their bodies around, crash the corners, dive to block shots and play with intensity he came out and basically went through his stick checking don't go in the corners motions.
That he would play like that was an embarrassment. You would think he must know he has a chance to be a part of something good and he just went through the limp wristed panty waisted motions he has always displayed. ZERO intensity.
Mark this down. He will never be a player and will not be in the NHL next year.
Look up the word "SUCKS" in the dictionary.
You will find his picture next to it. - Downeaster
I thought Wolski was good in the first 15 mins...but yea afterwords he became soft and looked like he was avoiding contact at all costs |

Just so you know, you've killed whatever chance you ever had of being the President of the Wotek Wolski fan club. I hope it was worth it! |

Yea I still am waiting to see that elite passing game he has. Other than a handful of occurances, I still haven't noticed it on a game to game basis. The one thing I like about his game is that he isn't afraid to shoot. But yea he needs to produce, and produce in bunches. - TPC
Its not on Richards, its the system. When the team play for 55 minutes of the game is on the boards, what do you think is gonna happen. On top of that, he doesnt have legitimate snipers on his line, he has grinders rotating onto his line. Callahans point production is evidence that he is doing his part, but theres only so much you can do with what you have. It is also his first year playing here, although he knows Torts, Im sure the system hes running here is a bit different then what he did in TB. |

What do you do with Wolski? Can't risk sending him down for the dead space cap hit down even though there probably isn't a team stupid enough to pick him up on waivers.
So he sits and takes up 3.8 million?? Better he get hurt and go on LTIR although I don't wish injury on anyone...except him....maybe just a little bit??

Big weekend coming up. Saturday's game on NHL Network and Sundays on the new NBCsports network, pumped I can watch both in HD - TPC
I like that there are more games being televised. I have TiVo set up to watch your guys Sunday.
Also need to watch the new wrap up show on NBCSports to see how it is. I did notice they were using Comcast regional guys to report, which gives them a great resource in many markets. |

I think it is pretty clear that Richard's offensive numbers could be higher, if they just stuck him on a line with Gaborik and tryed to force the building of a little chemistry between the two of them. With that said, at the end of the day, its about winning, and I have been fine with the way the Top 2 lines have sorted out (although it may be time to try to shake things up a little -- nothing to drastic).
I would like, however, to see Brad Richards start playing the power play point again. He has been great in the role throughout his career, and I just don't get why things have changed with the Rangers in that regard. Maybe there is a curse associated with free agents brought into QB the power play. |

there is no risk to sending him down. Any team that picks him up would be charged the full cap hit of 3.8 million.
The problem they have is that there are too many veteran contracts in Connecticut. Which is why Christensen's term is labeled as "conditioning stint" |

I thought his cap hit would only count against the Rangers cap if he was claimed on re-entry waivers, not on the way down. If that is the case, why not just demote him and leave him in Hartford. Am I wrong about this, Downeaster? I know you are a CBA guy. |

The Rangers power play doesnt even look like a power play... who ever does the coaching for special teams seems to spend all the time practicing the PK and hardly any on the PP. Theyre clueless on how to set up, and when they do its by accident. When that accident happens it looks like a total clusterfvck, the passing is clueless and ridiculously slow. Then it gets on the boards, and looks like an even strength situation. |

I know, but Downeaster know his CBA, and I am concerned that he is going to advise us of some exception that we don't know about. Like Section 34(1)(A)(i)(a), which deals specifically with the demotion of Canadian born players with European sounding last names. |

We're okay then. Wolski was born in Poland but grew up in Canada. He's the exception to that exception. |

So what is word on the Camelleri trade guys? Did he get traded for doing that epic sound off about the team preparing and playing like a bunch of losers, or was it something else? Funny, but I would think that, while over the top, that team needed something like that to be said.
And then, reading McKenzie's article, apparently Kelli Hrudy, savaged Bourque earlier this year for his "give a damn meter" being broken. Don't know much about Bourque, but seems like he'll fit right in with the Habs if Cammy's assessment is anywhere close to being true.
The Habs are a mess, but that won't stop them from beating the Rangers 5-1 this weekend. |

I thought that trade sucked for both teams.
I think both of them should be dumping salary for picks and prospects and rebuilding. |

Nah, Jimbo's right, per usual. Wasn't thinking correctly.
Explains why nobody picked up Avery on the way down and then some team asked for him to be "re-entered" so they would only pay half the hit.
Two reasons for that: Team is either up against the cap or cheap biotches.

I don't get it, the Canadiens really suck and they look like the 80's Oilers when the Rangers are in town.
Cammalieri's comments, terrible season and big contract were all reasons why he got dealt. Despite it all though, it is a terrible return from Calgary. Bourque, a prospect and a second round pick for a guy who can score 35-40 goals, with the right linemates.
Gauthier has kept the terrible trade tradition -- say that three times fast-- alive with this deal.
The rapidity in which Montreal has declined is really alarming.

The Rangers need to get in front of the Habs this weekend. For whatever you can say about Habs fans, nobody matches their energy, which can really help them in many instances. When all of that energy turns negative, however ... watch out! Should be fun! |

I wonder if Anisimov is setting up to be trade bait, unlikely, but I also didn't think Mike Gartner would end up being trade bait in '94 either.
