The only people who want Savard back are the ones who weren't alive when he was GM. Having arguably the greatest goalie ever didn't make him a great GM.

He made a number of questionable trades and his refusal to draft euros put the habs back for years.

I don't mind having him back as President because it would mean that PG's era would finally end. Calm down with GM seat bud. For the record i was alive when he traded Desjardins and Leclair for Recchi and god-like Zubrus.

I totally agree with what he's saying, the problem is that he's no better and part of the problem right now.

Cammy should take a good long hard look in the mirror.

I'm pretty sure he does that, every day, more than once a day.

Oh, you meant, figuratively speaking?

That only makes him even more likely to be traded to Montreal.

Getting Umberger would be pretty good for Mtl.

C'mon look what the Oilers got for Penner last year. He made what 45-50 pts? They got a 1st and Teubert. 4,5M$ with one more year on his contract. As for Cammi, 6M$ for 2 more years. Plus, getting rid of Cammy and Plekanec would give more ice time in the 2nd half for Eller's line. Ship him out of town and quick please.

If they can get a package like that obviously you do it, I don't believe they can.
- habby

Right now they won't, if they hold on him until the deadline, you know someone will overpay. Always been, always will.

Big body that works hard and he can scores. Sure he is horrible this year, but so are the Jackets. I wouldn't mind him at all...and his price tag will be around 4M$ next year (4,25?).

Replacing a GM in season is very difficult, especially when he has to be bilingual.

Yeah i knew his extension will kick-in after this season but thought he was closer to 4 than 5M$... about 1,5M$ cheaper than Cam still. And Umberger is a team player.
