Didn't he say "we are playing like losers and have a losing attitude right now and that is hard to win games when you think you are going to lose"
When saying 'we" does he not include himself?
But even the "we are playing with a losing attitude" is a hockey cliche.
Saying he is playing diminsed when he is used to more, is saying that he needs more time to get out of a funk. Not I should play more cuz im da poop and everyone else sucks.
But he still needs to earn his minutes, so he needs to find a way out of the funk at practice.
Didn't he also mention something along the lines of he needs to work harder at practice? - Guimania
He said he needs to work in practice because he doesn't get enough ice time, so if he wants to stay in shape, he needs to work harder. He also said he was a better player than he was 3 years ago and his lack of production is because of the coaches.
Nick Foligno has twice as many goals this year as Cammalleri plus grit.
edit: and a third of the price.
edit2: and he's younger
edit3: and better - dt99999
But Cammalleri can put up almost 40 goals a year and is a playoff workhorse, thats what the sens need, Foligno is better at this moment but Cammi is the more skilled player who'll have a bigger impact in the right setting. In a deal involving cammalleri trading partners have to consider not only todays stats but what he CAN do, folignos potential will never be what cammalleri's is but its clearly not working for him in mtl....regardless who ever they get will be ugly lookin
IMO, the following players must be traded (or in the case of Gomez, let go) to either free up salary or acquire younger cheaper talent or draft picks or a combination thereof;
Gomez
Cammalleri
Plekanec
Kostitsyn
Moen
Kaberle
Gill
Campoli
Obviously all of the above players can not be moved, although it would be best if they could make it happen...
Rebuild, refresh, with bigger/stronger younger players NOW while the window of Pacioretty, Price, Subban, Emelin and the other youngsters are still doing well...
The Habs need to get their salary down to about 55-57 million and see how well they do at that cap rate. If they're in the playoffs next year with that cap rate, THEN and ONLY then do they try to acquire some expensive scoring talent.

No it isn't. - yemrots
Sure it is, maybe not as often used as "give 110%", but that might be becuase teams sucking as bad as the habs are right now doesn't happen as often. But when it does, a losing attitude or variation of it will come up in an interview.
Even individual players will use it, Bryzgalov used it in the fall.

Players never say they are better then they are or have shown.
I can't find the quote where he says that the coaches are to blame for his lack of production

Keep Moen and kostitsyn, Andrei is finally finding consistency and Moen is exactly the type of player every team wants around he plays hard and is the only bit of grit this team has, plus his numbers are solid playing with eller and kostitsyn
i'm not sure if this makes him a 'bad guy' at all. I'm glad he's speaking out, and just because he's not the most tactful about the situation, i'm glad it seems that someone cares.
when was the last time we heard anything that wasnt just scripted hockey media stuff from our 'leaders'? never heard a peep from gionta ever that wasnt the stereotypical hockey player crap, same goes for gomez, plecanec or any of the other vets around there.
i think its really disturbing that the fans in general are fickle and unfogiving and can really quickly forget a players contributions.
i mean, half of the fanbase wants PK out now cause he isnt scoring at the same level as last year, he's on pace for 5 less points, gee, what a bum. also, all the crap about how he's mouthy and cocky. what do people base that on? because other d-bag players got mad at him? every interview i've ever seen with him he talks about leaving it on the ice, and taking responsibility for his bad games. all i ever see or hear are players on other teams who got hit by him, or outplayed by him, female doging about it.
Price is going to get some form of late-onset scizophrenia because one minute every one loves him, the next they hate him.
anyway, i digress. Yeah, cammy essentially said he wasnt getting the ice time he wanted and thats why he isnt scoring. big deal, the team does play like losers, we've all seen them collapse in 3rd periods recently. we've all seen players 'punished' with benchings for not following game plans. we've seen panicked coaching where the lines change every other shift.
If he gets traded out, i hope (like every other one it seems) he has a career season where he goes, and gets a hat trick every time he plays us again.
this team needs to start treating its players properly, and maybe they will give a (frank) whether they win or lose. - zedniksghost
Good blog!
A lot of this blog is true about Habs fan and how we have very little patience with our players in Montreal
No problem with him wanting out, but you don't vomit on your teammates and the organization in the media. You go see PG and ask for a trade. Period. - fidopro

Isn't Cammi always skipping the optional practice lately also?
