Tonight is the perfect night (and his birthday) for Giroux to light up the scoreboard and get back on track. He just hasn't been himself for about three games, tonight its time to break out of that!

Did I hear correctly that he won 17 face offs in the game the other night? That has to be a career best for him right?

Would you give up JvR in a deal for Ryan Suter?

To get Suter, Nashville is going to want a young player ready to step in and with a very high ceiling. On our roster we have 4 of them... Giroux (not happening), Schenn, Couturier and JvR.

I think Homer and the organization have too much riding on Schenn and Couturier in terms of the offseason trades to move them. I also think the idea of G, Schenn and Couturier down the middle is too great to give up. JvR has to be the guy to move in a deal for a big name dman right?

Thoughts?

I think Homer would be crazy to trade JVR...for the 2nd pick in the draft he should bring back a boatload

Could be. Also heard the Wings were interested in re-acquiring Jim Cummins .

well jvr has not even shown a sign of the player he was in the playoffs last year he has like taken a step back this year instead of a step foward
- griouxmvp2012

He has also battled through multiple injuries including the abdominal tear (which is a reallllll female dog) and the hip cam impingement (which is dreadful)

There must be a Flyers-Detroit deal about to go down. Mark Howe has been extensively scouting the Flyers -- in the press box for virtually every home game for the last 10 years. Howie is nothing if not thorough. Only problem is -- the Flyers keep changing their roster .

Neither of them have a high enough ceiling to get a guy like Suter...

Not when you have the opportunity to get him over the summer without giving up an asset.

for being the 2nd overall pick he has not lived up to that yet i know its still early in his career but still he does not play like a power forward that he supposed to be when he was drafted everyone said hes the next john leclair well i just dont see it he like 6'3" he plays like hes 5'10"

I think the Suter/Weber to Philly rumors are a little far-fetched.

I just don't see ANY team giving up core players (and YOUNG core players, at that) for a defenseman that could end up being a rental, even if it is someone like Suter or Weber.

That's just me though.

EDIT: Besides, if we wait a few months, we may be able to get Suter for "free".

Franson was a throw in a contract for 7th dman deal last summer.

Flyers would need to add a pick as well.
