When he killed it in the Olympics I thought for sure we had a winner...

that was the last time he killed it, sadly.

When Nittymaki was coming up he was the next big thing in net. Considered to be very talented, quick side to side. Very similar to today.

It's a shame that Nitty has had to battle injuries, especially of late. Particularly with the hip. I always felt he was quick but in my opinion Bobrovsky is much quicker.

Do you believe that Bob could/should be a full time starter in the NHL?

It's a pick a big name player and rip him syndrome because you think others will think you're in the know.

It's complain about the calls because you have no idea what the rules are but it's always safe to attack the zebras.

He is in the dog house at the moment with some fans. He hasn't changed the game plan at all since the injuries. 210 Man games lost so far, you have to go to a more defensive system like last year. Yes its boring but its what you gotta do to stay afloat.
- kgrpitt

That team still has the personnel to get into the playoffs and make some noise. He doesn't have to go all Guy Boucher/Jacques Lemaire, but yeah a more D-oriented, opportunist approach would seem like a reasonable adjustment. I wish the Flyers could pick up a few more points against the Pens while Bylsma and Co. are struggling to figure things out, but they don't play each other again until the middle of Feb. By then I expect we'll be back to saying how great Bylsma is at getting the best from his players.

I do like that he's not on the catastrophizing squad.

It gave the perspective of a former NHL player, and some insight into the situation. Very good article.

Fine by me. Might be the best thing that happens to him. He can play with a chip for the rest of the season/playoffs and really make a point. Go for the Conn Smythe Scottie! That'll show 'em. I wish they'd have left Timmo off the list as well. He can always use the rest. Hell I'd like them to leave Giroux at home too...but I guess if they have to put on this meaningless show, the season he has had means they gotta include him.
