and it was 61 pts. - dadeadhead
Bottom line is, if you're an offensive player, you need to lined up with guys that can skate with you, or guys you can skate with. Putting Max on a 4th line was always a waste. You might as well have scratched him. His speed alone made the likes of Adam Mair an even bigger liability than they already were by default. It's just not a good fit. |

Per Lindy no.
B-lo news reporter said it was a 3yr with a 4th year option.
Either one is to long IMO.
13 and 1/2 yrs of failure is enough.
Better coaches have been fired for less. |

Max should've been traded after he scored 73pts.
His value was never higher and they might have been able to pick up a prospect center to replace Drury or Briere.
Just another on a long list of Darcy liking his players to much. |

It's great having the 'most overrated player' leading the leafs...stellar season so far and hopefully he keeps it up. Haters gonna hate |

Another one that couldn't play in Lindy's system.
He only put up 415 pts before he got here and 416 points after left.

Roy tries to ignore trade talks
TheFourthPeriod.com
Sabres center Derek Roy has more on his mind than the fact that he will likely miss a second straight game with an injured shoulder and that he is on pace for his worst offensive season in six years.
While the 28-year-old is getting plenty of blame from fans for the club's 18-18-5 record, he has become the hottest name in the rumor mill if the Sabres decide to make a trade, according to the Buffalo News.
Roy, whose name has been mentioned on several occasions in different trade rumors, has done his best to ignore the chatter and focus on improving his game at the half mark of the season.
"It's fine. It's whatever people say," Roy told the News. "You can't worry about it and do anything about it. You have to go out and play your game. Everyone here is trying to do their job, whether it's stopping the puck, playing defense and scoring goals. We all have to do our part.
The Anaheim Ducks are rumored to have looked at both Roy and winger Drew Stafford when their GM Bob Murray was in town at the end of November.
Although Sabres GM Darcy Regier has mentioned that a shakeup was not imminent in Buffalo, it has been reported that the GM is holding conversations with his counterparts and that Roy's name has been getting most of the attention since his contract has only one year remaining at an affordable cap hit of just $4 million.
In 40 games this season, Roy has collected eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points this season.
The forward injured his shoulder, but has been skating in a non-contact role during Monday's practice and was able to shoot with no real difficulty. He could return to the lineup for Friday's contest against
Darcy will have none of this. |

I never thought of this until I heard someone on the radio say it (I think it may have been Bauerle on WBEN, actually). Ownership may have already written this season off. |

Here are two possible trades, and NO these aren't being reported, I'm just filling in the blanks as a fan:
Anaheim GETS:
C - Derek Roy 4m
C - Jochen Hecht 3.5m
D - Andrej Sekera 2.75m
D - Drew Schiestel 750K 2Way
Buffalo GETS:
LW - Bobby Ryan 5.1m
C - Andrew Cogliano 2.4m
This meets the demands of 2 rosters players and a prospect as rumored...the Ducks have the cap space and need for a top 6 DMan
------------------------------------
Minnesota GETS:
RW - Brad Boyes 4m
LW - Tyler Ennis 875K
D - Marc-Andre Gragnani 550K
Buffalo Gets:
RW - Devin Setoguchi 3m
D - Marco Scandella 845k 2Way
LW - Jason Zucker (Rights)
-With all the injuries Minn needs top 6 scoring help, and they have the depth at D and prospects, along with cap room to make it happen. Setoguchi has been a healthy scratch lately and is in Yeo's dog house....while Boyes would help the top 6 and Ennis would give them another top 6 forward who needs a change of scenery....
Zucker is a great prospect and Scandella could fight for a 6th-7th DMan spot
Like I said this is just filling in the blanks with what was rumored....just being a wishful fan!!
SO IN THE END WE COULD HAVE A ROSTER THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS WHEN HEALTHY!!!!:
Vanek - Adam - Pominville
Ryan - Leino - Stafford
Gerbe - Cogliano - Setoguchi
McCormick/Ellis - Gaustad - Kaleta
Ehrhoff - Leopold
Myers - McNabb
Regehr - Weber
Scandella/Brennan
Total of about 4million under the cap!! or this year and 10-11million for the summer!!! |

Honestly, I would rather take a top-5 pick than another first round exit.
Yakupov, Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Grigerenko, etc.
