As much as I hate Derek Roy, I don't think he meant what it sounded like. He's never been an notably intelligent human being, but I think that he was trying to say that the now have nothing to lose, and they should play like it. It sounds more like poor English to me more than poor attitude.

Max was in Lindy's dog house for the last 18 months because he skated hard and the other 4th liners had not crossed center ice yet when he was well past the other teams blue line.

Agreed...I have been one of the biggest "get Derek Roy out of here" people since the playoffs in 2010, and I got roasted for it. There are a lot of reasons I want him gone...this just really isn't one of them.

Max worked hard too. Loved the fans. Skated like the wind. It was a shame that Lindy stuck him with 4th liners because he couldn't bury his chances for a few weeks.

Goes to Atlanta, gets put on a line with legit NHLers, and scores 65 points.
