He should probably use the argument that RNH is playing on a team with less depth of talent or established talent and was carrying his team when playing. Something like that. Just sounds like a moron going lol he's 18 winnar - Pomegrant
huh?
Henrique has been awesome, likely gonna win the Calder now that RNH is hurt.
Doesnt mean I dont feel pretty good about the 18 year old in Edmonton who can hang with the big boys.

If one was 25 and one was 18, maybe I would take the age factor. But 18 and 21 isn't THAT far off. |

Huge difference in terms of physical development.
Not many guys walk into the league at 18... let alone being ppg players.

And out of the two of them larsson is the best to be honest guys how many defenseman come into the league and log 22 plus minutes a night. Its a bit different skating by a grown man or to defend a grown man he does show he's a rookie sometimes but at 18 19 doughty Weber didn't log that much ice |

You really can't even compare them. Defense is typically a harder position for a younger player to transition to the NHL. But there is no doubt I would think that right now RNH is the best player from the draft class. That could all change in the future obviously. Larsson is averaging closer to 20 minutes. |

you really dont think the voters would even consider it?
Say they have very similar seasons and production... you dont think that factor would cross their minds?

The Calder Memorial Trophy is an annual award given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League. The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association at the end of the regular season and each individual voter ranks their top five candidates on a 10-7-5-3-1 points system. Three finalists are named and the trophy is awarded at the NHL Awards ceremony after the playoffs.
To be eligible for the award, a player cannot have played any more than 25 games previously in any single season, nor have played in more than six games in two separate preceding seasons .
Straight from NHL.com. Its the proficiency of a player in their first year.
Nabokov won it at 25, Raycroft at 23, and Ovie had 4 points over Sid and a year of development and that didn't stop him. |

So we now know.
When we look lifeless, have one of the fourth liners take a penalty. It always works. |

Its by default. We now have two fourth lines. Carter is a scrub that doesn't belong in the NHL and boulton shouldn't see more than 5 mins. |

If you're fine with repeated unforced turnovers, missed defensive assignments, failing to get the puck deep and bad penaties then yeah, I guess he's fine. |
