I really think Ruff should be the GM, he can bring in someone that he likes to coach, or try his hand at holding both positions. I think he'd try and model the team like how Burke wants to (TRUCULENCE, PUGNACITY). A team like how Boston is built, with a bunch of big strong players that are very tough to play against.

I just don't think Darcy was willing to do (or couldn't, due to restrictions) what needed to be done to bring in those types of players, mainly the skilled ones. As it's been noted, he doesn't trade very friendly with other GMs and never got mixed in with top free agents.

It seems to fit considering the other deals that were done. Until this team turns the page on Regier and Ruff, same old same old. I don't think Pegula will do that and honestly it would not surprise me if Regier gets another extension at some point. He has one year left as GM at $2.5M.

I'm so tired of the double standard. When the Sabres are winning, it's all Ruff. When the team plays like crap, it's the players fault.

This is essentially the same team that won the division 2 years ago. The same team that poop the bed the 1st half of last season and rolled the league the 2nd half.

Now once again they are playing like crap.

I don't think it's all Ruff's fault. It is a combination of everything; coach, players, management.

The players are not as bad as everyone says (they're not great either) Lindy has lost the team and the players no longer care. I don't blame them, I've been sick of Ruff for 10 years. They look like a team that is sick to death of their stale head coach. The team is also reflection of their coach. Ruff is a crybaby and he coaches a bunch of wusses.

This team needs a new philosophy, attitude and direction.
