I'm with you. I like buffalo. However, the talk about getting rid of Ruff seems more angry at the situation than at him. Go ahead guys, fire him. I'm sure another struggling team will love to pick him up. Grass isn't always greener. - T_Cane0
Another Non-Buffalo fan telling us how we are supposed to feel about our team. How about 42 years, no stanley cup. 14 years of Lindy, no Stanley cup. Sure he might succeed elsewhere, but we cant sit here and be afraid "oh god no we cant let Lindy go, he might win a cup somewhere else". Cause he aint winning one here. |

i do agree with that guy that sometimes the grass isnt greener on the other side.
at the same time, i agree with you buff fans, and yeah, sometimes you gotta switch up the coach because its a lot easier than switching up 5 players +.
i think buff will be fine they are just in a funk. |

You have to bear in mind, new owner didn't inherit a bad team like the Isles or something. He took a competitive team, promised its fans MULTIPLE Stanley cups. Locked up the coach for 7 years and several new and core players long term.
They are now a few loses away from their worst stretch of hockey since 1970, our first year.

he is over a point a game...
honestly, what more do you want? serious question. - Neiler
Sure. He is a good hockey player. Pominville may get you the points but I fail to see his leadership qualities when he is on the ice. I fail to see the team act like there is any accountability, which is something a captain should be instilling. I view pommer is the guy everybody likes and wants to be the capatin but not the guy that everyone needs as a capatain. He's a finesse guy. The sabres play a terrible version of his overall game |

Usually when coaches don't win for years and years with competitive teams they lose their jobs. Does any Buffalo fan understand the reason why Ruff is so incredibly untouchable? From where I stand, no employee on the planet deserves to keep his job after failing for that many years. |

who's going to make the trades?
If darcy is waiting for other GM's to break down his door and overpay for the Sabres scrubs, it's going to be a long wait
besides Darcy said the market isn't right, Darcy is currently the only guy overvalueing this bunch of losers |

Kevin Freiheit: Ruff Running Out of Time? - KevinJames
Do not fire Lindy Ruff. This team is just not giving any effort, he can't force them to play if they don't want to. Don't waste the best coach this franchise has ever seen because of it. What we need is to get some new blood. Darcy on the other hand............... |

All you hear around town is "Why is this guy so untouchable". I dont think he is the worst coach ever or anything, but he treated like he is so sacred. And he never won us or anyone the cup. I dont get it. |

and this means what exactly to Buffalo?? That if he could win somewhere else then he would have done it here? Sorry, doesn't work that way.
As another Sabre poster said a bit ago, Ruff almost won it with a few good players...but to me that's not Ruff's doing, that's the players (Hasek and the two that got away). |

Drury is sitting on his couch right now eating potato chips... Call him up, give him the C and let him play on a line with Gerbe And Staff... |
