you dont think thats fair?? they got franson for a bag of pucks pretty much
- griouxmvp2012

I don't know that Toronto would trade Schenn for JVR straight up let alone include Franson.

And like I said, it would have to be a huge move.
- MJL

Why does it have to be a huge move? Why can't it be a compliment to this team? I don't think anyone has seen the best of this team yet when it's firing on all cylinders. I think you're assuming. Schenn is just putting his game together now and nobody has seen the best of him at this level yet. Briere hasn't put together a game that only normally shows in the playoffs yet. If the only move the Flyers made at the deadline was Tim Gleason, I wouldn't consider that to be a "big move" but a complimentary move.

me either all i know is they flyers need a dman thats gonna clear the traffic in front of the net no one does that since prongs been out and it makes bryz look bad because 80% of the goals scored are from deflections cause no one is clearing the front of the net

Having as good a shot as any other team isn't being a favorite?

That would make all 16 teams making the playoffs a favorite then.

This is the second time you're dismissing me because you don't agree with me about something. I'm Sorry you believe that your opinion trumps everyone else's but I will go on record of saying I disagree with you. What I do know is, if you actually had a counter answer that you truly believed in, you would beat the conversation to death to prove your point.

No I didn't mean that, you know me, I get blasted for Bryz, and I took a little heat tonight for some things, (not trading JVR for Schenn, thinking Coburn $ would be good for Carle), etc

But it's all ok, our opinions are what hooks me into this

This is way better than the Islanders boards where they are done 10 minutes after Dee Karl is finished posting.

The Flyers might not be considered a favorite but it is my belief that if the Flyers didn't stop playing as of late, they would have more points then the Bruins. Sunday they shut themselves in the foot and they're still one point behind the Bruins in the Standings., while still not being consider to be a favorite. This is also without Chris Pronger and without making a trade that boosts the defense. We have a good time that could do more damage in the playoffs then we think. Danny Briere and Claude Giroux have scored some timely and important goals in the playoffs in recent years. Most of our other players are just scratching the surface of what they can do. What if we went into the playoffs tomorrow, what if Matt Read became a new playoff hero and we didn't see it coming? I believe we have another gear.

Once they get some kinks worked out yes, possibly, maybe Read could be another John Druce, that's possible as well, look at JVR in ;last years playoff, but they really need to get one goalie settled & go from there, (that's important), & there's still a lot of time for them to access the defense & possibly obtain what they need to have enough depth to match the depth they have up front, which is deeper than any of us would have believed going into the season
