i'd do it, but i don't think we could get luke schenn for bob or that tampa would think bob was fair compensation for lecavalier
- flyerscup2011

I would do that if true. That would mean that Leighton is the backup. Ugh! I have absolutely no interest in seeing him playing in OB ever again.
The question is would Leighton be subject to waivers if he was recalled?

I didn't call you an idiot. There's a lot of folks that shred him for his personality, without bothering to realize he acted the same way when he was playing great.

When was he joking around after a loss? I must have missed that. Last time I saw him after a loss he said that he sucked, he cursed twice on live TV...

- Jsaquella

I never once shredded him for his personality. I said he can give people the wrong impression sometimes bc of that. People dont like to see a guy joking around when he is playing terrible.

I think your taking my words way out of context. Im saying I can understand why people think it can be scaled back. When a goalie is playing bad nobody wants to see him joking around on TV or with the media. Does that bother me personally? No. But I can see how it would give some people the wrong impression. Is that wrong?
- stveshdy

So, him refusing to talk to the media is not scaling it back? I'm trying to understand the issue here. He's not joking around after losses. In fact the only time he's been joking around is on non game days. He doesn't talk to the media before games, and I have yet to see him joking around after a loss.

After one of his last losses he was visibly pissed off afterwards, to the point where the live interview was cut off after he dropped two F-bombs.

If people can't handle him being loose on non game days, and think he shouldn't joke around when it's not a game day and he's not on the ice, then they are idiots.

His personality is his personality. He had the same personality when he was doing well, should he turn into (frank)ing Morrisey or Kurt Cobain when things are bad?

As long as he is working hard on his game, which by most account he is, then I don't care if he's telling jokes in the room.

off topic...on the auction site they have an Iggy Jersey cheap up for auction...you should check it out

i think he would require waivers, possibly even recall waivers. on the other hand i think backasschewa can be called up without going thru waivers

@cubishboy Girouxus
3 team trade in the works involving Flyers sending Bob to TB ,Tor sending Luke Schenn to PHI and TB sending Vincent Lecavalier to Toronto.

- Philly1980

Id do that trade.

You did call me an idiot as well as many others but I accept your apology. Nobody thinks Bryz is more funny than me but the guy just cannot go around saying the things he does to the media despite telling the truth. When things are going bad you just do not need to hear his serious comedy on every channel. Bottom line I just want whoever is in net to play great and if we are winning then Bryz can perform for Saturday Night Live.

i think 24/7 really screwed him up with his progress. He came into a whole new system and all of the sudden 24/7 came in and he was the media darling. they cannot just write an article, they need access etc...blah blah blah...
as a friend once told me...20 to 30 years ago, you wrote to highlight what you wrote and the subject matter versus putting the spotlight on you. Now a days, the writers write to keep the spotlight on themselves. Hello, if it wasn't for the sport, the game and the team you would not have a job covering them.

I cant control how people think. I said I was glad he didnt talk to the media the other day. I think he is scaling it back and I believe he cares alot when it comes to goaltending and being successful. All I am saying is I can understand why people think his personality can give the wrong impression. Even if its not game day people think he should be more focused on getting his game correct. Im sure he is working hard on it and I personally stated that I dont hate his personality.

Have another smash of Bryz Koolaid Jsaq. OR should I say Mr. Jsaq

Hope you enjoy my humor

- flyerdude17

Honestly, I couldn't care less about you or your "humor". It's not drinking Kool Aid, either. It's hoping that a player that the team I root for made a huge commitment to, pulls it together and plays better.

I also root for Bobrovsky and just posted 5 minutes ago that he should get more starts. If you can't make that distinction, there's not much else I can do for you. I don't pick and choose who to root for on my team. I root for all of them to play as well as they can when they're playing. I get no special feeling because I drafted a guy for my fantasy team, because I don't play fantasy sports.

I only care about the Flyers winning. If that means Bob starts, then I am fine with it. I'm not going to shred him for being quiet and not talking to the media, and I'm going to state what I think when I feel others are unfairly attacking others on the team.

Uh, I didn't apologize. I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for one, either, if I were you.

Also, Bryzgalov has refused to speak to the media twice in the past week, so he's making an effort to keep a low profile. Too bad you don't realize that Bryzgalov doesn't decide what goes on the TV

I don't care how people think, either. I mind when I see a player being unfairly criticized or attacked. IMO, Bryzgalov was being unfairly criticized. If you don't think that it was unfair, we'll have to agree to disagree.

I'm not saying you specifically. But people are criticizing him for trying to be a media darling. He's been refusing interviews, so that's not exactly a fair criticism, is it?

TB wins that one long term. Not sold on Schenn as he has regressed this year. TB really needs a goalie as Roloson is done after this year. Lecavalier to Toronto would work capwise as the leafs I believe have room. I think this is a good trade for all three teams but maybe we get Roloson back to back up Bryz??

Im confused. I dont understand where he is being unfairly criticized by myself. I dont know what other people think or feel but I have been one of Bryzgalovs biggest supporters.

That could very well happen. But in my opinion I think the Flyers are hoping that Bryzgalov will be the starter in the playoffs.

If everyone thought alike there would be no point in having conversation. What is fair criticism to one doesnt mean it is to another.

So wait.. let me see if I get this.

We trade Bob for Roloson and Luke Schenn.
TB gets Bob and gives up Roloson to us and Lecavalier to Toronto.
Toronto trades Schenn to us and gets Lecavalier..

Yea, Tampa doesnt get hosed in that deal at all.
