Could be that Laviolette told Homer that he or McCarthy would suit up and play again before Walker did.

Definitely. But maybe Kimmo's wrist is acting up or something.
- PLindbergh31

Sam I became a "couch scout" for the duration of the game, came away impressed. I must now email my scouting report to Homer ASAP

You would think with the call up of Gustafsson he would be immediately put into the starting lineup. So will Bourdon or Lilja be coming out?

I vote that Lilya sits, helps Shelley abd carries the drinks while Shelley fetches the popcorn.

I understand where your coming from with Bryz but points are real important right now and Bob is 6 wins 2 losses and .945 in last 8 games. Bryz is around .890 save percentage and still looks lost in the woods at times. If contract was not an issue Bob would be playing the majority of the games. I would go with Bob till he loses one and let the other guy see if he can muster up enough to earn the number one.
- flyerdude17

I dont disagree with any of that. Will see how Bob does when they allow him to play more. I still think the more Bryzgalov sits the worse he will be. Its hard to get your game back sitting on the bench. But in honesty he hasnt earned the right to start.

Now we are on the same page, I agree totally. It does make for tough calls for Lavy because he needs the points and also likes to reward players who get it done. For that reason I expect Bob back in against the Islanders. It could also come down to how Bryz is looking in practice and what kind of attitude he is displaying. If he looks good and is working hard and appears serious, okay maybe let him start. If he is lackadaisical and just being a smart ass then sit the mother as this is getting serious and not a time for charades.

I think Bob will get the start against the NYI. He has been the better goalie and earned the right. I still think they need to come back to Bryzgalov at some point. Im just confused on who is suppose to be the guy for this team. If Bryzgalov is your guy and you committed to him, do they have to play him bc of the financial committment?

i was looking at some of the jerseys and the letters for the names don't look like they match those from other retailers. also, the logo seems to be really low on on some, and the name seems to be really close to the back numbers on some...just shoddy work.

i really want one of the black jerseys with orange only trim - not on the nhl.com site anymore, but they don't look like they're done very well.

- hammarby31

Also the name plates are sized to the name, while on the legit jerseys the name plates are shoulder width, no matter the length of the name.

Will see if Spags even takes the job. He isnt scheduled to come in until next week bc Reid is on vacation (thought he already was this season).

- stveshdy

Spags is on vaca, too. He felt he needed time after being fired. He'll get used to it if he plans to remain a coach, no matter how much interim success you have, you get the boot eventually.

When you commit to a guy for nine years at millions you kind of have to do almost everything to make it work. That being said if that guy is being clearly outplayed and his attitude appears flaky then we may have a problem. I mean Bryz announcing he was not starting the WC game and his remarks were hillarious but in reality if I was the coach and he did that we would have a serious problem. A coach needs his players to follow and listen and not a player who appears to be on his own comedy channel.
