they speak like 8 different langauges in the damn country, he should know to speak itlian, french and german.

i just got back from switzerland, and the german they speak there isnt german german, its swiss german which apparently a german and a swiss talking they have difficulty understanding each other, and you can go a canton (province) or even 2 towns over and the dialects are different, its (frank)ing confusing

then there is an immediate switch from german to french, and then theres some italian

but even the french can be confusing apparently, and they all have trouble with english

played a few games, then his achilles became sore to the point where they thought resting would be fine (doctors) and he flew up to winnipeg last night to see his surgeon (devils play edmonton and then winnipeg) and the surgeon advised to shut him down for 2 weeks (3 with the all star break)

New York AP- The entire National Hockey League was shook to the core today when a bizarre, bad Hollywood movie-like event occurred. Around 9:21am est. GM’s From every team around the league flooded the Office lines of Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke. A comment from Burke was obtained, roughly one hour after they phones stopped ringing, he stood wide eyed and baffled mumbling “it’s like a bad Hollywood movie” and just repeated it with a smirk creeping out ever so slightly.

So, what was the buzz all about? Well it seems every GM secretly spends heavy time reading a website called “HockeyBuzz”. Every General Manager around the league simultaneously succumbed to the posts left on every message board throughout the site that read like a wish list of deals for players that the “leafs” could acquire. These Relentless Leafs fans comments permeate the message boards of all other teams and throughout every article blogged by the high profile major contributors to the site (like Eklund). As one reads these posts that blanket this site like gnats on a summer evening in the Midwest, you can almost hear the child like voice as you process the trade proposal in your head and by the time you form a response in your head you find your self saying things in a soft, condescending, loving ,dismissive tone to the leafs fan, as if you were telling a 5 year old kid that its not Ok to lick the stove while its on.

The effect this had on the GM’s of the NHL was quite different. What some of them described as a “retarded spell” like sensation and others just reportedly feeling “generally dumb” after reading the posts from the “loser Leaf fans”. In this temporary insanity, every GM fulfilled the psychotic trade proposals suggested by the fans postings. We tried to get other GM’s to talk about the deals that were made and were able to get Steve Yzerman first. He graciously explained, “All of us Gm’s confer and read hockeybuzz everyday and really pay attention to the leaf fans when they post comments on blogs that deal with any trade rumors in the NHL, because they will suggest trades with teams even when the rumor has nothing to do with their team. It really seems like they get it, I mean we all have known that this effing league would shut down without the Maple Leafs, but they seem to be a little bit more dialed into that than we all are. That is why we agreed to giving them Stamkos and St. Louis for a bag of pucks and a pack of smokes ” And when you read these pearls of wisdom from commenter’s like :

And you absorb the wisdom of posts like,

“OMG!! Dominoes!! GETZLAF is Coming!!!!” or

“wi shud traid du rangers a fith rownd pick n 2014 and a minur leeger for Gaborik, Richards and Del Zotto!!”

You can quickly understand why all GM’s just caved in willfully and granted all these wishes at once. Not only did the GM’s cave in, but the Players all agreed to 200,000 per season to keep the salary cap low. A full list detailing the transactions will be posted as they are released.

Christmas has been canceled hockey fans.
