Best chioce. Like the way he plays.

Problem is, he's going to be so highly sought after his price will likely be too high.

b/c they have a surplus of d?

how about johnny oduya? and if i can dream a little bit, how about enstrom? the nucks must still have some deep connections in the peg. get that sh!t done.

Smid is a UFA after next season. I'm pretty sure the Oilers would love a guy like Tanev.

I know this sounds crazy, but i am betting you wont have to pay too much for Komisarek. He isnt that bad, as long as you pair him with a great PMD.

You really ready to give up on this guy?Ive only seen him play a few times, but he seemed to do well besides being inexperienced.

that's a tough call for me. if the nucks are gonna dangle tanev, i'd rather it be done in a package for someone a little better.

plus i'm not optimistic that the oil would do that deal one for one.

I don't want to give up on him at all. But I realize veteran D is going to be steep this year.

komi isn't that bad but his contract is. he'd be a decent guy to pick up but not at that cap hit.

he's a very good young player. great head for the game. plus, he doesn't panic with the puck. he has the confidence to hold on to it for a fraction longer than some youngster d. prevents him from coughing up the puck from bad passes.

the issue for the canucks becomes "how much of the future do you give up to help you win now?" very delicate balancing act.

That is the whole problem, the window is now. That's why I think of Smid. This year and next, for 2.5.
