no, thats why his numbers are declining. One thing you forget is I didn't say the Rangers defense was terrible, I never argued the players in the slightest, I said an elite goalie can make them seem better than they are. Confidence makes players better.

They are not going to create a massive hole by trading away their top line center to aquire depth,they can move Ryan to do that Not to mention some other vets at the deadline they can move for picks.This team is going to cut bait and retool ,they can aquire some much needed depth by moving ryan and replacing him at the draft with one of those good russian wingers.What they cant replace at the draft and most likley through trade is a Top line center that can score 90+ points at the nhl level and carry a team to a cup win which they have in Getzlaf

If they are looking to move Getz for an equal talent they will take on more cap, so they shouldn't have brought him up in the first place, but they did.

When he was Hurt last season Perry went on a tear, showing they didn't need Getz to make Perry effective.. if you can get a large return on a player that you don't need to make your best player effective and your team has a huge depth and D issue... why wouldn't you consider making that deal?

Lunqvuist is one of the best goalies the game right now, call him elite, whatever the (frank) you want, or say what you want to say about it, it is how it is.

If Parise is unhappy about his playing time in NJ than cross Toronto off that list of possible destinations for him. In TO, Lupol is the #1 LW along side Kessel. Him & Kessel have amazing chemistry. They have both have each other better players. S I doubt Parise will want to play on the 2nd line. Besides, no sane GM would ever pay a high price in a trade plus a high cap hit for a guy who won't be on the first line.
