My thoughts I think they come out and play inspired and win after the injuries and brooksies comments. I'm curious to see what we look like 3 games from now when that wears off.they either stand up and every man goes hard or they feel sorry for themselves and start pointing fingers.

I can understand their frustration with the injuries. The team I coach has had a minimal level of goaltending the past two years and it wears on the senior class this year. We outshoot teams 48-20 and tie 4-4. Sometimes we out shoot a team 17-4 in a period and trail 2-1. I know its not identical but I can see how things get to a point where you are doing the right things with no results, and it can suck the life out of a team.

Agreed that's why I don't think tonight is a measuring stick. Given the recent events I think they will play hard tonight and get 2 points. But I'll be waiting to see when things don't go right how they respond. I think there is still a lot of character left in that locker room and hopefully it shows up. It's going to be hard to watch the next couple weeks.

Tough to be interested in a guy who couldn't crack the lineup on a team like the Oilers.

No 900k is what we'd be on the hook for he's a minus player. I know Edmonton has been bad but he got cut from the worst team. Not sure how long he's signed for. Just my thoughts and he's small

This is insane. If his foot is broken he shouldn't be skating

Well he is skating with 14 and 71, he must feel somewhat OK in the boot.

It because is Edmonton he wants to play center. But he's not better than RNH, Gagner, Horcoff, Belanger, or Anton Lander.

The fact that the Penguins are using a RW to play center on the second line has me thinking that Brule wouldn't be a horrible pick, especially at less than a million.

As for the fantasy league, I beat Gunner in the first week I can do it again, and Vokoun sucks. Although I did find an answer to the Kings offensive troubles, I just have to start a fantasy goalie against them.

I still say 4 years 4.5 mill per (I actually upped this 500k since the start of the season, but who's counting)

Well I figured you would have the best insight on Brule. My knowlege on him is limited.

As for my team, I like my chances against anybody except John.

Depends if we sign him now or after the year. His price is only going to keep going up.

Like Steve McIntyre.

To be fair though, after watching the piece on New Year's eve where he spent all of that time with the sled hockey team, I'd keep him just for his character though.

So before I left my wife had her Crosby is my homeboy tshirt on and I just wanted to cry. Please hockey god's don't take him away from us. Let him recover fully and have a long and healthy career with the Pens. I will give you a sacrifice. You can have the entire Philly team. If it takes more than that you can have the capitals as well.

He was in awful shape and since he recovered he has won a Gold Medal and a Cup. He too had a setback after returning the first time.

As far as the prime of the core argument Rossi made, there is some good evidence that a hockey players prime is younger than other sports. Still for him to suggest any type of window is closing on this group is assinine and laughable. They might not put up 120 points, but they could be every bit of a better player on and off the ice as they move into their late 20s.
