We were all thinking it, but we werent all paid to announce the game on TV. Its unprofessional......period.
- kindlyrick

He thought he was off air when he said it. Trust me I work in TV and I know the person who was suppose to let the producer know they were still on the air

Cizikas is a center.....Ulstrom was playing wing. I like him better too, but someone asked about an energy winger.
- kindlyrick

Cizikas plays the wing in Bridgeport, he was a center in Jr's.

Ok it is but he was not on camera at the time as the Hofstra kids put him on early so it really was not his fault. Anyway who cares. He is not going anywhere for a while so I guess like DP we need to deal
- kasperrko

It had nothing to do with the radio feed

Personally I don't care for that rat faced fu*k.
- BringBackBalky

Geeeeeez guy..........im not singing his praises, but for 4th line minutes, id rather see a kid from Bport play who is gonna give 110 percent. I dont think our first round pick Nino should be playing 4th line minutes.

Exactly they dont get it. I mean truth be told he is a Ranger fan but he roots for the Islanders just as much and like the rest of us is upset over the state of the team. If oyu love the Islanders anyone would be.

I will say we look alot better then last year so far.

According to what I was told from Howie that they also have kids doing TV on certain occasions and they screwed up

You guys have to let go of the whole howie/ranger connection. How long has he been an Islander announcer now? Go back and listen to the bates PS against the Maple Leafs in the playoffs and tell me he doesn't care. So he got caught saying what we all wanted to say on the air. The team was brutal and he was saying what a bunch of us were thinking or saying while we watching. Don't bash the guy for telling the truth. If you want constant sunshine listen to Butch
- Vukota

I dont want constant sunshine, I want anyone other than Howie Rose and his ridiculous story about growing up playing deck hockey with his buddy with the cheesy nickname (the goalie).

It is a simple solution trade for Comeau we can get him cheap and would look awesome on that line. Wait oh forget it

I think my major problem is that im a huge hockey fan and I feel like baseball does not compare to hockey. At the end of the day Howie like most, have a hard on for baseball. So I say, just announce baseball....

MOTTEAU!!!! MOTTEAU!! His most memorable catch phrase
- kasperrko

Now when he says that its Mottau getting beaten like a red-headed step child by an opposing forward.

I am too, but my gut tells me they will go for the guy with the most NHL experience and that's gonna be Haley. I'm fine with Martin getting a promotion to the 3rd too, he's really upped his game this year.

I think that whole thing with Howie making that comment about pitchers and catchers on air was priceless and I'm glad it happened. He said what everyone else was thinking.

Is Dibenidetto out still?
- kindlyrick

if he is next in line, i certainly hope hes out....id rather have haley or casey cizikas. Dibenedetto is not part of the future of this team

Maybe unprofessional, but I'm still glad it was said. It summed up exactly what I was thinking. Howie reminded me of Harry Doyle (Bob Eucker) from "Major League". I was laughing histerically.

Nah, that's not what happened trust me. The producers thought they were clear (commercial break) but the break never rolled and the audio engineer at sight never shut off the mics and since they were still live anything they said would still go out to the audience.

So its unprofessional to have an opinion when you think you're off the air? You think that was bad, we have a blooper reel from all the network channels and all the fack ups on air. We have announcers cursing out the umpires and all kinds of awesome stuff

I agree about not playing Nino on the 4th line but that douche really irks me. He's a little shat that plays a tough game but can't back it up.

I hear what you are saying and im sure there is much worse. But, there is no argument that what he did was unprofessional. Im surprised Wang didnt call the network and have him fired.
