FIOS - XBOX NHL12 question if anyone knows?

Im thinking of making switch to fios now that MSG, MSG2 and PLUS are in HD.
Fios has sick deal of $120 every channel, plus 25/25 Mbps internet and free DVR for life.

My question - Does anyone play NHL12 with fios. Someone told me there is issue where you cant connect to play on Xbox live due to capability with EA servers. Can anyone that has fios tell me if this is true or its fixable?

Dude i have Fios and play nhl12 on Xbox. I rarely play online cuzbif doing my season. I have played over Xbox live ad it works fine. Nhl12 is the reason I have barely touched mw3. Also Tavares leads the NHL in points at game 36 of my season

Just my opinion. The bad jokes, irrelevant stories, the long pauses, what sounds to me like fake enthusiasm when the Isles score...I can do without him. My wife can hear the broadcast from upstairs sometimes and says she always thinks the Islanders score when he calls a goal for the other team. Anyway, like I said, just my opinion. It used to be cool a few years ago when you could put the second-language function on the TV and the audio would just be ambient sounds from the arena with no announcing: players calling for passes, loud hits along the boards, etc. I think someone on Logan's old Newsday blog tipped me off to that, but it hasn't worked for me in a while.

Time Warner showed up on saturday to hook up my triple play. The guy came with one cable box.....and left without the internet working and the land line was never hooked up. When I called Time Warner I spent 3 hours on the phone with 4 different people.........BRUTAL. I said "Triple play??? More like a single"

He takes a bunch of games off cause it is in his contract and they also have a contract with Jiggs that he announces a certain amount of games each year. So he has no choice. He chooses when he wants to take off.

The pitchers and catchers thing we were all thinking last year lets face it. After losing like 13 in a row iw ould have said the same thing plus it was the awesome Hofstra staff that Wang hired and they kept the mic on the whole time. Also Jaffe did gell with them they became real close friends an Howie even said he was the best he had next to him in a long time. I will say Butch would not gel with anyone as he is clueless out there

I just got the Verizon Fios ultimate package.......i got the DVR for life, and the 35 Mbps, but i will be the first to say i have no idea what that means.

In two weeks i had spoken to both Verizon and Time Warner, and both companies offered me money off to stay with them. I guess they are both offering the same deal.........but from my experience, its like the difference between low defintion and high defintion between Time Warner and Fios. Fios being High Def. An even better anology is the how Apple products are so much user friendly as opposed to PC's.

Perhaps, but there were a few shots that I thought he got lucky with where the rebounds went. I really dont see the need for him.......never have. Garth picked him up on waivers when we had 3 goalies in the system, Montoya and DP. Now that Montoya and RIcky are hurt, in my opinion you give Poulin and Nilson the nod.


The signing of Nabby, ROlston, Pandolpho, and Reasoner to me reminds me of playing the card game Gin. There are cards you need and cards you dont need. If you dont need the card for your hand, you leave it. Garth LOVES just picking up those cards......

Is there anyone else in BP who has energy and hands other than Haley? I like the kid and all but I almost feel like their has to be someone else with more of an offensive upside available. Ugh!

I still have a major problem with the PP. I think the second unit should have Josh Bailey on the right said instead of Frans. I love Fransy but he's a true third line two way center. Bailey can make that Tavares esq pass, that can thread the needle. Its what Bailey is best at........why is he not on the PP???? Let Frans take the PK, the other teams top line, and the shootout.......thats what i see him as. He's not a PP kinda guy to me

Listen I love jiggs because it brings me back to my childhood listening to him, but that aside he always messes up the names of the players. At least four different times last night he was calling out players names who weren't even on the ice. I understand he is getting old and he doesn't have the players down pat but it gets annoying real quick. Also in the opening two minutes Hamonic throws that huge hit and jiggs is just rambling on about something other then what is going on on the ice and doesn't even mention it. I can't stand when jiggs and that train wreck Butchie try to make fun of each other, its borderline creepy. With that said I love when he calls an Islanders goal ( even if its the wrong player and 5 seconds behind)

Really cause Jiggs McDonalds voice to me means Islanders. Howie Rose is a Ranger fan, and could care less about hockey. "Who cares about this game, when do pitchers and catchers report". Real professional........i'll never like him. I never felt Jaffe gelled with him, and felt Butchie was more at ease with the long time islander play by play in the booth next to him.

Not that im losing sleep over it, but i feel like Howie takes a bunch of games off per year.......whats his deal?

You guys have to let go of the whole howie/ranger connection. How long has he been an Islander announcer now? Go back and listen to the bates PS against the Maple Leafs in the playoffs and tell me he doesn't care. So he got caught saying what we all wanted to say on the air. The team was brutal and he was saying what a bunch of us were thinking or saying while we watching. Don't bash the guy for telling the truth. If you want constant sunshine listen to Butch

I thought he smacked the back of his head on the lip on the edge of the boards on his way down. Either way..it sucks. Although I'm starting to suspect that they have "watered down" (for lack of a better term) what the term concussion actually means, in an effort to be 100% sure that they don't miss anything. So hopefully he doesn't miss a lot of time (like Nino).
