I've not heard it quite put like that. I have heard that Denis is a NYC guy and he prefers the city to LI. While I cant understand that myself. It's his life. I also heard he was looking into the Isles Coaching position a few yrs ago when he was broadcasting in Fla. As far as I know he was never a serious candidate. I've never read or heard any animosity from him over the Isles or LI. - SCLI
His animosity has cooled a WHOLE lot since MM left the franchise.
