barkann is just calm and reality seems to be washing over even him. he's still pointing out how bad everybody was, just more calmly than usual. he's finally just admitted "this is a terrible eagles team, this is a sub par eagles team". he blew up the coach and the quarterback. destroys the defense. he has a goatee this week. he has to lose it immediately.

barrett looks terrible in a bright yellow shirt and a light grey suit jacket. calls the play calling a "travesty" twice. says he's appalled that he even has to sit and talk about this kind of run/pass ratio.

he really does have to work on quite a few things. that MVP-talk season seems like it had to be a different guy at this point, doesn't it?

he's been missing easy throws for weeks and he only wants chunk plays. he doesn't even see his checkdown receivers. they may as well head downfield too. yesterday, on the play where he was grabbed around the ankle and just barely threw the ball away before they could call him in the grasp, that defender got to him because the TE (could have been a RB but i think it was one of the TEs) chipped and released. so the TE was in the flat, uncovered after getting off the defender. why wouldn't he just throw the ball to him? it's part of the play. that's why he releases. so you have a safety valve. otherwise he would just keep blocking the guy.

I think the defense sucking is putting too much pressure on him, that's why he's going for more homers passes instead of taking the easy check downs sometimes. Plus the playcalling hasn't been the same since their coaches got poached after the SB, and D-Jax being out hasn't helped either since the team doesn't have a true deep threat without him.

He's not an elite talent like Mahomes/Jackson that can carry an offense by himself, probably a tier below that, so he needs some help around him.

Honestly I think what you mentioned about Wentz earlier is far more the problem. The guy is passing up 5 yards on 1st and 2nd down to try to complete a 1st down. Without Djax there's even more reason to make the other team play tighter to the line.


Keep your offence on the field, take some pressure off of that D and it won't look quite as poopty. I think a better Wentz and they have at least 3 more wins this season.

nah. that D is poopty. their secondary is horrid. the front 7 is okay but that secondary can't cover the bocce ball team at the assisted living facility.
