from what i have heard, his first press conference was a bit meh but whateves there.
like every other coaching hire, some "insiders" are high on him and some are bit more reserved. mainly based on experience blah blah.

seems he is confidant enough to want fangio back so that is a plus to me.

watch his first 3-4 games and then judge his entire future with your superior knowledge of the game.

2017/18 Acumen Power Rankings (Playoff Edition)

1. crimsoninja ▲6 - first member of the thread to pick the falcons to beat the rams and made it his lock of the week. His pick of the Eagles to win the NFC East (which was mocked at the time) still reverberates to this day as a testament to his innate ability to reach the 2nd Level and reshape how the sport is perceived.

2. Caper ▲3 - the guy has truly rounded into form this season and consistently displays acumen when discussing his team and the league as a whole. Also picked the falcons and his dismantling of gramps on Page 2108 was something to behold. His recent owning of BINGO! on twitter regarding Johnny Manziel in the CFL was exciting and fulfilling.

3. S2tp ▲7 - 2017 was an acumen coming out party for s2tp. He seemed to seize control of his destiny and force his way up the rankings through sheer will. He broke down matchups, discussed x’s and o’s and wheeled and dealed his way into a top 3 spot, winning the fantasy league along the way.

4. PSG ▼3 - sort of a quiet season by his standards. Critics will say he rested on his laurels and assumed his upper echelon status would be secure, but he learned the hard way that was not the case. If the Eagles do in fact trade down in the draft, as he predicted, it will surely bump him back into the top 3.

5. Bingolady ▼1 - another poster with a lowkey year. However thus far he is the only one to man up and post an official Super Bowl prediction since the playoffs began. Needs to be more active in the thread.

6. Mr.peanut ▼4 - Has fallen into a gimmick of nicknames and wordplay that seemed to overshadow his actual takes, which still remain consistently acumen-filled. His unapologetic and vicious tone (on display during the #kneel controversy) is unmatched in the thread but consistency needs to be a focus as the 2nd yawn poodumb era with the Raiders takes shape.

7. KINGKENZO ▲4 - he strives for the 2nd Level but always seems to come up a bit short or three steps behind. Case in point: his feeling that linebacker is the Eagles’ most pressing need. Also perplexing is how he hates certain guys on 97.5 as on air talents, but considers them “good producers.” Is he honestly judging them based on what guests they book?

8. Kicksave856 - watches more football than probably any other poster here which counts for something and he can weigh in on a variety of topics including 97.5 hosts, which often proves valuable. Sometimes still becomes mired in the 1st Level, but his role as the Diddy Whisperer continues to be well received.

9. Aightwebang17 ▼6 - tumbling into the basement of the fantasy league has subsequently crippled him in terms of overall acumen. His loyalty to Viking Nation is starting to pay off and his heartfelt words of support to Wentz after the injury showed a grace that few here possess.

10. Gramps28 ▼1 - A noticeable issue this season is his tendency to allow personal feelings against certain teams and/or posters to cloud his judgement and distort his takes. The Goff Jenga Tower could prove fatal, but there is promise in his early stance on the Nagy regime which could be a significant boon to his longterm acumen. His insistence that Pat Shurmur is a hot head coaching prospect is also troubling.

11. Nucker ▼5 - guy is basically the Harvey Weinstein of acumen at this point in the season. Once in a position of tremendous power, he has since been reduced to a Nick Foles cuck flopping around like a fish hauled into a boat captained by his mysterious Boy. At this point even a playoff win (or even 2) might not be enough to save his season. A parade down broad street is his only shot at redemption. Needs to clap back at mr.peanut occasionally too.

12. TheCat - He is a rare contributor but he can be unexpectedly venomous at times, which is good for the overall heat factor of the thread.

13. Watson - ceremonial last place ranking.
