I encountered one once. He made a blog called "Sharks in the water" and gave no info, but then a couple of hours later the Sharks then signed Niemi. Eklund came out with a triumphant "I told you so." It was awesome

He's a nice D-man, but nothing major. By nice, I mean he's literally a nice guy on and off the ice, which is not really a good quality to have as a stay-at-home D-man. I want a mean guy on the back end, like McQuaid rather than a nice guy.

The Kings already have Doughty and Johnson, now it'd time to bring in a couple animals to keep the net clear and protect the two wimps, Doughty and Johnson

If he has a 3% success rate, and lets say he does 2 rumor blogs daily. That would be 3% out of 50 days. Which would be what, 1.5 out of 50 (if 3 is out of 100) So, once a month he might say something of value that leads to a deal.

But in reality, these tend to be boxed up around the trade fa deadlines, so the truth of it is 10 months out of the year are no true rumors, 2 months out of the year he does get some right. He is the Adam Dunn of hockey: strikes out a lot, but gets a homer every once in a while.

Oh well, good thing I don't come here for his blogs. I come here for stupid Edmonton fans and stupid Leafs fans, with a bit of stupidity mixed here and there. Posting "Sharks in the water" with no accompanying info a few hours before Niemi signs is hardly a home run. At least Adam Dunn does hit the odd homer (or used to in the NL anyway).

I haven't followed his blogs religiously, but I've never seen one out of at least 100 actually happen. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
