isn't 25,5M over 6 years for JVR a bit much?

4.25 for someone who has scored 20 goals.

Ya, but if he scores 50 it won't be, he won't score 50 though, but he might, but he won't.

So yeah it's a bit much.

I liked it better when players got paid for what they had done instead of what they might do if the stars align.

I think the PP depends on how Weber shows up this year. Markov and Subban are a great set up but that leaves the 2nd unit hurting on the backend. If Weber can step up then things might turn out nicely.

Obviously why pay somebody who has done something when you can pay him to potentially do it for you later?

Any team in need of motivation to go all the way this year should look at trading for him at the deadline for sure.

Frankly I think they should have traded him last year when his stock was high. I guess they were hoping he'd get more valuable after some solid NHL time...

If he scores over 30 this coming season, which I think he will, then this is a good deal for the Flyers.
He's not getting paid this until next year and it takes a couple of UFA years away from him. I don't think it's a bad deal......unless he flops.

I think he's going to be a star though.

With Carter and Richards gone, he'll have plenty of ice time to prove what he can do.

I too think he'll be pretty good.

What if you are paying him less than what could potentially be worth?

Ever think of that Frenchie?
