happened to us with a parakeet, my mom had him on the back patio and opened his cage for a second to adjust a food bowl or something, he spazzed out and escaped

couple months later i was at a friend's house who lived about a block away and her mom always had several free flying parakeets. suddenly i notice one of them is our bird! they said they found him half starved in a tree in their backyard. he was so happy there they kept him and he lived happily ever after.

my bro was sleeping off some wine at my aunt and uncle's house one time and when he woke up on their couch the two birds (murr and lou) were going nuts in their cage making all kinds of noise.

he yelled "DIE!" and went back to sleep.

when he woke up one of them was on the bottom of the cage.

they'd been living happily in that cage together for 14 years until my bumhole brother decided to have too much wine at my aunt and uncle's house.

i know this isn't funny but i can't help it

I had budgies growing up. They were really cool, though I had one named Blair and she was really bitey. I'd be mad if someone named me Blair too.

My favourite one was cute (named Felix after Potvin). He loved to hang out on the couch. He thought he was human. Also any unguarded glass of water became a bird bath. He did not know that people don't bathe in glasses of water.

She also had cockatiels when we were kids. One of them was sitting on the floor for some reason when we came home once and the fattest cat we owned bolted inside and with superhuman speed took out the bird before we could even blink. He never ever moved that fast again. Also, was later killed by an owl.

I liked that cat too. But on a farm you're fortunate if you have a cat for even 5 years. We had like 6 of the best little mouse hunters ever at one point and they all got distemper. That sucked.

Our neighbours had an owl that they hand fed because they were Richards but man was it ever cool. Had a huge branch it would just hang out on and you could throw little chunks of meat at it and it would just snatch them out of the air. Fish and Wildlife later confiscated and rehabilitated it. One of those same idiots later got caught returning from a mountain park with a bighorn sheep he just decided to shoot. They threw the book at him for that one. (frank)in moron.

when I was doing my hunting certification course one of the wildlife guys told us there are parts of Gaspesie they don't even bother policing anymore becasue they don't have enough manpower to catch all the hicks out there shooting everything and anything no matter what the season.

Sounded wrong to me but I must admit that they never did speak a word even though I would talk to them (simple phrases, their name, etc) all the time lol.
