yeah they are beautiful ducks. adorable too, they sometimes have a bit of an attitude. they'll walk around making all these quacking sounds like they are tough as poop.

never seen 'em be even slightly friendly outside of high park. they are usually super timid little dudes in the wild.

i can't have a dog here. it was the only bad part about picking this place.

it's a really nice place and i had been looking for probably a year and interest rates were going up every day so i had to pull the trigger on it but they started a no dogs rule a few years ago.

the good news is people who already had dogs were obviously allowed to keep their dogs so i do get to play with dogs all the time when people are out walking them.

the best part about having a pet spider is that they are everywhere so you don't even need to buy one! by everywhere i mean literally everywhere. you know those pants in your dresser? probably has spiders in the pockets. your ears while you sleep? spiders.

yeah that's the problem. spiders that end up in clothing or bed sheets etc = bite. you push up against them and they bite. you just let 'em do spider things and you're good.

over here it's yellow sac spiders that are annoying. they don't make webs, they roam around hunting and can end up in shoes and poop like that. they don't rot your arm off like with a brown recluse but they'll introduce you to a level of stinging and itching you didn't know existed.

that actually does make me feel a little bit better.

i almost walked face first into a yellow sac spider as it hung from my washroom ceiling recently. i have no fear of spiders but that was unenjoyable even for me. i still let the little fella live tho
