some people think marty biron is a quality goaltender as well cause he was top 20 in save percentage 2 years ago, does that make him a quality tender?

Nothing in what I said mentioned the word elite..........But yes Cheechoo is a 50 goal scorer..........That was all he pretty much did but when you hear people mention him in articles they do say the 1 time 50 goal scorer.

Maybe backup sure. But if teams really felt that way he wouldn't have ended up as a backup for the Islanders last year and now for the Rangers.

He was well on his way to scoring high 30's last year before being hurt. It is accurate to say that Carter is a 40 goals scorer. It is accurate to state that Carter can be expected to score 40 goals.

That is my point -- we are posters on a hockey board, we have no knowledge or any idea of the inner workings of teams and player evaluations, so both sides need to get off their high horses and remember they are as dumb as the rest of us

Please prove that he would of scored in the high 30s or 40 goals! He scored 40 once in 5 years so I am pretty sure he isnt the next brett Hull, he may welll end up being the next Val Bure before its all done and over with.

He missed 8 games and would of had to average a goal every .875 games --- not happening, especially with how inconsistent he, and the team played all season
