i also don't understand why it's now normal not to say "merry christmas" . I mean the holiday we are celebrating is indeed christmas. there's no way around it. makes no sense. but this world is getting more effed up by the day so i guess this is just a part of our demise. "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!"

Maybe you're celebrating it but I dread its arrival every year and I hope Rudolph ends up a steak and nativity scenes are declared eyesores.

i can't answer that for you. i'm only 27 years old and it's been like that since I've been around. that i can guarentee. but i live in the south where people actually go to church, so i'm sure it's somewhat different here.

Yeah I'm Canadian and most people here who identify themselves as religious on a census haven't been to church since someone's death gave them an excuse to leave work early. I wouldn't mind the Christmas thing so much if it was just Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Knock yourself out with all the mistletoe you want...and the lights don't bother me going up early...but the music and yuppie bumholes packed into retail outlets, racking up debt they can't afford and being short with store clerks; that can all go IMHO.

Really though, I want to see that movie quite a lot.

Just saw Avatar. It looks incredible but otherwise is a terrible movie. But wow does it ever look incredible.
